Fallingbostel? Never heard of that. Where's that supposed to be?
I have to admit, I didn't even know that you once lived in Germany. Did you tell us about that before?
Edit: I just asked Google about Fallingbostel. Apparently it's located in Lower Saxony.

All i know is it's near Bremen.
I don't think i ever mentioned it before. Lived there for a few years whilst my dad was in the army.

Fallingbostel is one of the places where British Army was and is still stationed. I only know it because I used to listen to BFBS (British Forces Broadcasting Service) quite extensively a few years back. I've never been there, though.

Well, the only place out of Baden-Württemberg I stayed longer as a few days at was Bitburg (located in Rhineland-Palatinate) and they only had an American Military Base to offer. LOL But I never met any Americans while I was there.

There's a voice in my head that won't stop yelling at me. I think she's gonna make me write a book. Like... an actual book. :|

No, actually the turkey died a very sad and painful death long ago. I don't know whose voice it is yet, she won't tell me until she decides she can trust me. She sounds a little like Joan, but she's not. She's much louder than Joan.
And much like Joan and my mystery character say: I'm not crazy.

Poor, Poor magicalturkey.
On another randomness thought. I might manage to get round to actually updating myspace. Too much stuff needs doing in such little time, and work keeps me shattered by the evening.

I'm trying. But she keeps deciding to talk to me when I can't write. It's very annoying. I got a little intro to her down though, it's posted on my personal LJ: http://irish-turkey.livejournal.com/200866.html

I love it. Hope she keeps talking.

Carol checked in this afternoon. They're back in their house, but have no power and obviously no cable so no Internet. They lost some shingles off the roof and some trees. A window got busted out on her car, but she and her brother are OK.

I'm planning to buy a Playstation 3 this weekend (for the blu ray player mostly) and there's some many films i wanna get.
And to add to the suffering of which ones to get, i've just found out that Into the Wild will also be available on Blu Ray in December. I'm gonna have no cash by the end of the year.

Looks like Coco-Cola is down-sizing their multi-packs of 12 oz. cans.
I just got the new Jewel Food store ad (Albertson's) and they are advertising the new 20 pack of Coca-Cola cans for 2/$10.98.

That's ridiculous! Good thing I broke my addiction a few years back. I only have one every once in a while now and I never keep soda in the house.

deb congrats. i am not joking now. i am really trying to at least cut back on the amount of coca cola i drink and i am not managing very well.
Offline
For me Coke has always been a drink for "special occasions", like when I go out to a restaurant. I never keep any soda at home, unless I have a party or someone coming over requests that I have it. It's probably also an education thing. My parents never had it in the house either, so as a kid it was always special to be at someone's place where they had Coke or Fanta or Sprite.
Here's a piece of Coke-related trivia for you: Mezzo Mix (pronounced Metso Mix) is exclusive to Germany and Austria. It's a mixture of Coke and Fanta, and it comes ready-made in bottles.
I think Deb tried it at the Coca Cola museum in Atlanta (and didn't much care for it). I quite like it, but I like regular Coke better. At the Coke museum you could try all sorts of stuff that was exclusive to certain countries. Some of it was quite cool (like Fanta Passionfruit), but some of it was also really disgusting. I recall one ginger ale-like drink from Italy that made my tongue curl...
