Unfortunately, it's the end of our trip. Deb is leaving today, Anne and I fly back to Germany tomorrow. Chris really was the highlight topping off the trip of a lifetime. (Simon, we got your Just Friends cover signed, so you can be happy too.)
Here's all the photos we took with and of Chris last night:

Thanks TeeJay. That's great to hear. Now i just have to hope it arrives here safely.
Just had a look at the new gallery. Looked like you kept him busy signing them photos.

Give us a few days on that, Irina. Well, probably more like a week or two. Deb, Anne and I will be getting together this weekend to talk about what we wanna write for all you guys and for the site. There's going to be an article about all the people we met, catching up with the young cast of JoA. Of course we're also gonna upload all the photos we took of Michael, Becky and Amber that we haven't shared here on the board yet.

Can't wait for the interview, report and all the other goodies. I'm really glad you guys had such an awesome time.
I must say, too, Chris looks really relaxed in your company.

Oh, and to answer Annie's question from another thread: Chris does smoke. He did so twice while we were with him that I can recall. (Though he did ask if it was okay if he did and he didn't do it indoors.)
Btw... we rode in his car too. He took us a cute little French café in Venice where we had lunch.

Not a brand new Cadillac, though. I'd say it was at least five years old.

Seems to me like pretty much everything on this trip of yours went even better than expected. Was there really no misadventures, no bloobers, no nothing?
I have a bunch of those every time I leave the house! If I go for a trip there might be some hurting, swearing and maybe some "I'll never ever ever leave home again" going on.. Oh well, usually I have my kids with me on all my trips so... who ever says familylife isn't eventful should come live with us for a while!
And I noticed too how much signing you had him do. He must have a bad case of tenosynovitis by now!
Lovely how he goofed around when he was posing with you. The pic with the great laughter was good too.

We had some misadventures with getting lost mostly. Like, for instance, on the way up to San Francisco for Amber's appearance at Litquake, we accidentally took a detour into Simi Valley. Apparently, we took the wrong fork somewhere along the PCH. We had a nice meal there, but we lost two hours. That made getting to the Herbst Theatre a right hairy bitch, I tell ya. And finding a parking place at TeeJay's lovely, lovely, lovely friend, Soya's place was brutal. It was raining and I was beyond exhausted. But the pain was lessened greatly because their friend, Klaus followed us to a spot that was kind of far away and drove us back to Soya's. When you get right down to it, we had a lot of aggravation, but nothing horrible. And that's mainly because people were wonderful to us. I wanna say a big thanks to Soya and Klaus and everyone else who took such great care of us. And to all the artists we met from Rick and his friends in the sound field to the actors, and Kyle. Kacey at Enterprise Oakwood was the coolest. Just everybody.
The only disappointment was that it simply could not be worked out that we meet Tisha, or Sean or Eric. Maybe next time, if by some miracle we can ever manage it again...
We'll tell all as soon as we recover, promise. But please go on and ask any questions you have. It might help us get talking.

Deb and I posted at the same time, but Deb was quicker. Let me still post what I wrote:
Oh, there were plenty misadventures. Cutting my thumb and almost fainting comes to mind. Getting lost on the way to San Francisco and only just making it to Amber's show very very VERY last minute is another. Or trying to find a good spot to see the Hollywood sign. Or driving around in circles on very confusing LA roads. We had plenty, believe me. But it was totally ALL worth it, including the flaws. I'd love to quote a Linus line from Fanboys here, but I can't recall how exactly it went. Something about keeping the flaws. Deb?
And I'll make sure to thank Klaus the next time I see him. Any reason to give him an extra hug is fine with me.
And, guys, maybe I should just quickly tell you how small the world is. Klaus is a good friend of mine from Germany. I don't see him that often anymore since I moved, but we still meet every now and then. He was (and still is) on vacation in the US right now too. I actually didn't know that he was gonna be in San Francisco at exactly the same time that I would be, so it was a bit of a shock (in a good way) to see him here, halfway across the world from both our homes. Life is full of coincidences, isn't it?

I just a random thought earlier which amused me. I wonder what his reaction would be if you passed him a picture of the end scene of The Girl Next Door.

Hee. We did give him a copy of our "Vampire Chris" pic. He got a giggle out of that.
Speaking of pics, I've been very slowly going through the ones TeeJay took. Isn't this one cute?

I have no idea where to find it at the moment. I shouldn't even be in this chair. I need to crash. One of us will find it and post it as soon as possible.

And here's the very last picture of us taken in LA before we left:
Anne, Jill Welch and me
(And, uh, bad hair day for me, I guess. LOL)
It really was such a great trip. I loved LA, actually much more than I thought I would. I wanna go back some time. Maybe a repeat performance next year? Strangely enough, for the last three years, I've been meeting with Deb on Chris's birthday. Twice at her place in Marietta, and now, this year, in LA with Deb and Anne. I'm really immensely thankful that I've found these two great guys to have fun with, online and in person.

Got home about an hour ago. When I called my mom, she was mad because she thought we were supposed to come home yesterday. Haha. It's not my fault if she messes up with the dates.
I still can not believe what happened to me last week. I already want to go back to LA.
Cute pic with Jill. TIna, can you please send me the pictures today? I leave for my parents's place later, so I'll be able to show them to them. Oh, and when I told my mom that we never met with Tisha, she had a good laugh about that and she couldn't believe that we rode in Chris's car. Yeah Mom, I can't either. LOL

Right now I have my friend Kris looking at our pictures. He's not much of a fan, but he likes the pictures, especially the one with me and Chris after he signed my TTC copy. Having the chance to tell him how much this movie means to me was my greatest moment ever, even though I forgot, like, half of what I had planned to say, but I'm sure Chris got it anyway. I think that really touched him.
