Re: Randomness

I don't think I've been homesick in my life. I like traveling, and as long as I know I'm gonna go back home again after a certain period of time, I don't really miss it. But I do remember that after eight weeks in Australia, it was wonderful to come back to Germany and see green landscape, grass, forest and fields. I loved LA, even though I guess Deb's right, it wasn't vey green either. I would love to go back some time, and I'm pretty sure I will. An encore around the same time next year would be fantastic, especially now that I've accumulated enough Miles & More miles to get a free flight to the US. big_smile

Look at this stuff.  High-speed photography that catches what things look like during the act of destroying them.  Wicked cool.

Re: Randomness

It's 7.47 am here now. We just woke up. I so didn't want to get up. I had the sweetest dream ever. I dreamed that I gave birth to my fourth child and it was this adorable little princess that never cried and just stared at everyone and smiled. She had a long light brown hair. Just before I woke up, I was thinking of names for her. I kept doing that after I woke too... :embarrassed:

Makes me wanna think if I should make a home pregnancy test. lol I always have vivid birthgiving dreams like that when I'm pregnant.. lol

Re: Randomness

Fire Season has settled upon southern California.  This one's scary.  It jumped an 8-lane highway and could be headed for the coast...

Looks like we returned back home just in time, huh? Hope they get the fires under control. Nature sure can be a b...ummer.

Re: Randomness

This has happened to me twice before.  Right after I left San Diego in 2003, fires started.  And right after I left LA in 2004, same thing.  It's kinda spooky.

That sucks, Simon.

My day at work wasn't that great. Why does everybody always think I am the one with not enough work? roll

It's great that you say that because I've just gotten back to my desk from a full day training that was all about "time management". One of the things we learned was how to say no without saying no. big_smile

I got a new computer today.   It's a little blue Dell named Leroy.  I don't have any picture editing software on him though, so I can't make graphics now.

Re: Randomness

Our computer screen is busted. I have to press the on-button like 50 times before it goes on. Needs patience. big_smile I'll have to see if I get to use this computer next week at all, since JTT is propably gonna send this screen out to fix. He just yesterday found out this screen still has over a year of warranty left. And this is the second time within a year that this screen brakes. Annoying...

I wonder what we are going to do about that processor. I quess we need a totally new one. I know we shouldn't be so mad at the poor thing for finally getting old and dying. wink We bought it as used in 2003 so it's propably about 7-8 years old. How long do they 'live' anyway?

To be that old, you've gotten your money's worth.  These days, you're lucky to get 5 years out of anything.  Hope you get everything all worked out soon.  smile
