No idea what this is about yet. Just found it on IMDb. But Dan Byrd's in it.

We try to get the deets from Chris when we see him, of course.

Cool! Great find. It's probably a movie about a handful of guys having lunch. For 90 minutes.

Wow, cool, new project. It wasn't there when I checked imdb this morning.

Andrew McFarlane is a producer on it so this might be another one of those "friend" projects that we never get to see. Hope not.

I found this in Ryan Eggold's bio on IMDb (he's one of the writers):
Along with his continued involvement on Dirt and Entourage, Ryan is hard at work these days on producing, directing and starring in an original screenplay, Lunchers.
The guy has a fansite: http://ryan-eggold.net But there is no info on the project on it that I could find. You can only access the forum if you're a registered user. Oh, he actually has another fansite: http://www.ryan-eggold.com Who is this man?

Never heard of him. Let me look at his picture and see if I recognize him... Nope, no idea. Maybe it'll turn out to be something. Who knows? It's just so hard to get excited about yet another little indie we may never see. When we met Chris almost two years ago now, we talked about the following movies... Alpha Dog, The Beautiful Ordinary (Remember The Days), Graduation, The Education Of Charlie Banks, Fanboys, Choose Conner, Calvin Marshall and of course Revenge Of The Nerds. Here we are two years later and only three of them have seen the light of day. Two of them got canceled. Since then, Infestation seems to have vanished into the ether, The Day The Dead Weren't Dead failed to materialize, Pinkville was killed, and now Kid Cannabis looks like toast too. It's very disheartening. So whatever. Wake me when it starts looking like a real movie.

Deb, you are soo right. I am also very disappointed with all of these cancellations. It's unfair for Chris. He deserves more lead roles and he needs to be in more movies that will actually be released.

Guys, you know, actually I wasn't far wrong. Chris talked a little about this when we interviewed him. It's a feature and it was co-written by Adam Rose, who is a good friend of Chris's. It's a small, indie project, so let's hope there'll be a chance that we all get to see it some day.
This is what Chris told us about it:
It's about these two guys who do nothing but eat at diners, and it's gonna be a lot of dialogue that goes on while these two guys have lunch. It's pretty funny, Chris says. Andrew McFarlane, also a friend of Chris's, produced it for Adam and his co-writer Ryan Eggold. Adam approached Chris and Dan Byrd to play a very small role in the movie. If I understood it right, Chris and Dan are gonna play doppelgängers of the two "lunchers" (who I guess are being played by Adam and Ryan), and the lunchers are the losers who never get the good-looking waitresses and always end up at the table where there's no tabasco sauce and the doppelgängers are the cool guys who always get everything just right. It's gonna get underway in the next few months.
What's really funny, though, is that the doppelgänger thing actually makes sense when you look at the character names. The two lunchers are called Randy and Alan (Ryan and Adam) and the doppelgängers are called Andy and Fallon (Dan and Chris). Nice little rhyme going on there. I must actually have seen Adam Rose act before, he was on Third Watch and Without A Trace, both of which I have seen all episodes of.
Deb, please correct me if I'm wrong about any of this, because Chris also talked about it during lunch and I can't quite remember what he said about it.

You should have asked if there's going to be a lot of pointing and saying "dude!"
I can just see it already. The leading guys ask for Tabasco and Chris pointing at the bottle and asking "oh, you mean this, dude?!"

Not sure if this has been up on IMDb before, but I only just noticed the synopsis they put there for the movie:
Two hopeless neurotics sit around eating lunch attempting to define love, life and the meaning of the spork.
(Spork = combination of spoon and fork) I assume these two neurotics will be played by Adam Rose and Ryan Eggold. And if Chris hadn't told us more about the movie, from that synopsis alone, I'd probably think, "And they wanna fill 90 minutes with that?"

Did you see that, according to IMDb, Mae Whitman is also rumored to be in this one? I didn't know she was in Nights in Rodanthe either (which I'll hopefully see in the theater tomorrow).

No, I didn't know that. That'd be cool!
(And I just realized that I've seen a lot of the movies she did when she was a kid.)
Nights in Rodanthe is on the Coming Soon schedule of the theatre here (the one that has the original versions), I'll make sure to see it, too.

This movie has dropped off Chris's credit list on IMDb. Not sure what that means, but it probably fell through. Bummer. Sounded like fun.

I just did a google news search and found an interview with Ryan Eggold that was posted on 3/17/2009.
iF: What else are you working on?
EGGOLD: I worked on UNITED STATES OF TARA, with Toni Collete. I played a guy who Toni Collete's daughter had a little rendezvous with and he's a total doofus. I have a big old hairdo. I'm also shooting this film that I wrote with a friend of mine called LUNCHERS in the spring, which will be great because I plan on writing a lot of stuff. I'd like to take that direction eventually, so this is the first time that I'm shooting something that I've written.
http://www.ifmagazine.com/feature.asp?article=3296
It's also taken off of his IMDB page as well.
Plus if you went to the Lunchers IMDB page itself nothing comes up except for the following message.
"More information for this In Development project is only available on IMDbPro."
I don't really know how IMDB does things, but perhaps when a film can only be seen via IMDBPro that the film also disappears from all cast/crew that is attached to it as well. That could explain why it's gone from at least 2 peoples filmographies all of a sudden.
