"Yah Yah"

One thing I liked about the last episode was how when Joan asked Kevin if there was anything special about her he said that she had an "imaginary friend" when she was younger.  Then when she got a little older she couldn't see him anymore and he was gone.  I just like how it shows she had this special connection with God her whole life.

Re: "Yah Yah"

I love that too.  And I love the way Jason acted that moment, how he said she got "weally weally mad".  lol

Re: "Yah Yah"

Lol, I know, that's always so funny.

Also I liked how Kevin really was good at laughing at or making fun of himself too.  Because he chose to live.  I hope to think if I was in his situation that I'd be like that.

Re: "Yah Yah"

Yep.  Great character.  And Jason really seemed to be committed to it and having fun with it.  He had a lot of memorable lines.  His delivery with, "I'm on painkillers," in Jump was also priceless.  He and Amber had wonderful chemistry too.

Definitely! That's my favorite Jason moment ever! lol And yeah, the scenes of him with Amber are also great.

Re: "Yah Yah"

I wasn't a big Kevin fan to begin with but by Season 2 he had really grown on me and I still enjoy his scenes. That character worked out really well, as did many of JoA.

and yeah Jason is pretty good in other stuff too.

Re: "Yah Yah"

Thanks for reminding me about that scene.  Because I so dislike the last couple of episodes, I don't think about them very much.  So, I had forgotten about Yah Yah (just like Joan).  That was the one scene which was really interesting in that episode.  It left a bunch of interesting questions.  Had God stopped appearing to Joan, or had she just stopped hearing Him.  And then, why was He talking to her again, or why was she now hearing Him again.  That was what I was hoping to learn about in a third season, not the silly melodrama with Ryan.

Joan: So, my true nature is to be a catalyst? That is mad anti-climatic.
God: Anti climactic. Anti-climatic means you're against the weather.

Re: "Yah Yah"

It's interesting to to contemplate that.  When I first saw it, I thought they were going for that whole notion that little kids are very open to spiritual/supernatural things until we train them out of it.  Would've been a pretty fascinating conversation if Joan had ever gotten a chance to talk to God at length about it...

Although God wouldn't have answered her questions.

Re: "Yah Yah"

Of course not, but I'm sure we would've gotten at least some small insight.  I hope.

I too was looking forward to finding out about that in season 3, definitely wasn't interested in what was in store for Ryan.  I really don't even like thinking about him.

Re: "Yah Yah"

In my Joaniverse, Ryan was pretty much a big nothing.  Got run out of town on a rail before Season 3 even started.  big_smile

Re: "Yah Yah"

I had absolutely NO interest in writing him into our fanfic.  I wouldn't have a clue what to do with him.
