Bernie Mac dies at 50
Comedian Bernie Mac died this morning in a Chicago hospital

Comedian and Chicago native Bernie Mac died early Saturday morning from complications due to pneumonia, his publicist confirmed.

Mac, 50, had been hospitalized for about a week at Northwestern Hospital, according to his spokeswoman. A few years ago, Mac disclosed that he suffered from sarcoidosis, a rare autoimmune disease that causes inflammation in tissue, most often in the lungs.

On the news after Morgan Freeman had his car accident, they kinda said in passing that he was hospitalized.   Then the next day they said he had a serious case of pneumonia, but they never made it seem as serious as it apparently was

He had a disease I had never heard of a couple of years ago,  It apparently attacks the organs.  It was supposed to be under control, but it may have done damage, which made him more suseptible to things like pnumonia.    Very sad, I loved his show, and think he was very talented.

It's so shocking to hear someone so popular and young sadly die.

Heard it on holiday, a few hours after talking to my parents about how enjoyable i find the Ocean's trilogy.

I was really shocked to hear of his death too.  And I think just a day after Isaac Hayes died.
I really liked both guys.
