Re: Race To Witch Mountain

You know, that little stand-uppy thing in the front... What would you call that? The German word for it is "Tolle".

I call it hair.  I don't see anything standing up in the front.  He had more of a hair sticking up thingie in Fanboys than in the picture I posted.

I wouldn't call it a "Tolle", Tina, but I know what you mean.

Re: Race To Witch Mountain

Just read a rather cryptic announcement from Disney that they plan to release 5 of their upcoming movies in IMAX.  It didn't say which ones, except for the Jim Carrey version of A Christmas Carol.  I asked on IMDb if anyone (like Andy) might know if RTWM could be one of them.  Hell yeah, I'd drive the almost 60 miles to our nearest IMAX for that.  A chance to see Chris on a HUUUUUUUUGE screen?  How could I not?  big_smile

Re: Race To Witch Mountain

Sounds awesome! I'm jealous. smile I don't even know where the nearest IMAX is around here. They used to have one in Düsseldorf, but it closed years ago. The nearest one is probably in Berlin or something ridiculous. And I'm pretty sure the IMAX thing won't come to Germany anyway.

I hope you have a great IMAX experience with Chris, though.

Re: Race To Witch Mountain

Nobody said it's actually happening.  I'm just wondering if it might because of that vague announcement.

Re: Race To Witch Mountain

Just for fun, I checked where the nearest IMAX theater would be. And this is so weird. There's one in Berlin, one in Bavaria and two that are near Mannheim, which is the closest, but still a four-hour drive from me. The weird thing is, though, that these two IMAXes are within maybe 25 miles of each other. How can it be that there's NOTHING in the area I live (which is the most densely populated area in all of Germany) and there a freakin' two IMAXes near Mannheim, which isn't that big, as German cities go. There must be a lot of IMAX experience lovers down there in the south.

Theoretically speaking, if RTWM was gonna show there, I could probably take a drive down there and crash at my friend Alex's place. Then again, if they showed it in IMAX in Germany, it'll 99.9% be dubbed into German. No thanks, then I'd rather see it in a small, crappy theater but with the original voices.

Living in Germany can have its disadvantages.

Sure, if you wanna watch the movie in German. I'd go watch a nice 3D nature documentary in the meantime. tongue

No, I meant only if they're going to show the movie in English, of course, but it's not that I'd put up my hopes very high.

Re: Race To Witch Mountain

Wouldn't that be nice? But I think it's a little extensive to spend $800 on a 10-hour flight just for seeing a movie... For a while I was considering doing it for Fanboys, but that's a whole other story.

Re: Race To Witch Mountain

I'm talking to a real nice guy named Jack on IMDb who saw the movie at the first screening a few days ago.  He and his brother really liked it.  He said that Chris was great in it, really funny.  And that his part was pretty big.  He said people are going to like our guy in this.  big_smile

This is Jack's brother:  http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2035003/  Cool, huh?

Re: Race To Witch Mountain

No, it's not a lead.  In fact Jack's exact words was that he's in it a lot NOT to be one of the leads.  But it's a good-sized part in what will probably be a huge movie.  big_smile

Re: Race To Witch Mountain

This assbag, "luvje0rdie" has turned into a real troll on the IMDb RTWM board.  I'm getting so sick of going there and seeing his garbage every day.  Why does there always have to be at least one creep who sets out to destroy a movie they haven't seen and will likely never see?  I just don't get it.  He went out of his way last night to try to dig up a bad review from the first test screenings.  All he could find was a lukewarm mixed review --- that trashes Chris of course.  Extra added bonus for this jerk.  Anyone who wants to pop over there and say something positive would be welcome and much appreciated.
