My brothers are both past 30 years, that's not really better, believe me. The other one kept making fun of the goofy pics we took with Chris last month. He doesn't understand what the trip means to me, he thinks I'm just a stupid little teenage fangirl.
How mean of him. I'm glad that I'm an only child.

Can someone give me the address of the guy who invented housekeeping? I wanna shoot him. I want to continue reading New Moon, but I can't because my apartment looks like a mess once again! :crying:

You live alone, Anne? How can your place be messy then if you've just been reading? Oh never mind. I just got a flash back about my own lifestyle before kids.. I left everything where it dropped. :embarrassed: And I've always hated housekeeping. I'm next in line to strangle the sadist that came up with it. I've always cleaned as little as possible. When I was still living at my mom's, I drove everybody nuts by letting my room turn into a catastrophe area and then once in a month or two got some weird spasm to carry out everything but the bed and cleaned like crazy. And I had these spasms in the middle of the night. Can't really do that anymore, would wake the kids!

Yes, I do live alone. Thank God I was able to move out of my parents's house in January.
Something else ... last night one of my Sturge-Weber "friends" kept me away from reading because she found me online on ICQ. I asked her if she wanted to see pictures from my vacation. Of course she said yes. I told her everything about Chris before, so I was sure she would remember. Well, I was wrong. She didn't. When she saw the pic of me with Chris she said "Cute pic. Is that your boyfriend?"
Yeah, of course!

Oh, geez.. Christmas is certainly coming.. Check out this wacky article that was actually in a news paper here.. http://www.iltasanomat.fi/viihde/uutinen.asp?id=1617906
Of course it's in finnish but this is what it is basicly saying:
Lapland central hospital checked Santa's healthSanta got checked out by a surgeon. Additional check up was done by anonymous "Arctic circle's elflogy specialist".
Statement was made by Santa's request. Headquarters tell us this REAL Santa is youthful and healthy for his age. He's the same as last year. He has a good heart, accurate eyesight and his hearing is good enough to hear the elfs. So he's ready for his duties.
Are this type of articles common in other parts of the World? I think we've got news like this for few years now.. Kinda makes embarressed but also, it's really funny. They're trying to sound so serious in that article.

My picture of the day:
It kinda reflects my mood today. Spots of brown flaws on an ephemeral substrate, yet clinging to the twigs that will breathe new life into a next generation of growing leaves after the winter.
On another note: It's René Magritte's 110th birthday today (Nov 21). (And, no, he's not alive anymore.) My favorite surrealist artist. And we have reason to believe that Chris likes him too.

Don't know. I actually don't read newspapers that much anymore.
Basically watch the news for that type of thing.
On TV up here we always get the annual report of a trip to the "North Pole" and see footage of reindeer.
Then on Christmas Eve on the local news during the weather reports they show Santa on radar traveling across country. Lame stuff.
And every year we always get the annual "How to drive in winter weather conditions reports". Do people actually forget how to drive in snow??

Oh, I'm so tired.. I've been sleeping really badly all week. Like 5 hours a night. I'm too damn restless in the evenings to go to sleep and then I have to wake up 6.20 am four days a week... *yawn* And today I've got so much to do. I have to clean like crazy and I don't feel like it. And 4pm my friend comes over and leaves her 4 month old and 1,5 year old boys here until tomorrow. I promised her to take them tonight 'cause she's having some tough times. I couldn't say no. I can never say no when someone asks if I can take care of their baby. It's a build in- thing for me. I like taking care of babies. Even if my boys were pretty hard in their first years.. It's hard work and I don't know how I'll manage till tomorrow with five high maintenance kids.. Just my own boys make me pretty weary these days. And still, I can't say no if a friend asks for my help. Yay, atleast I can still say I'm not selfish.. I'm pretty sure I'll manage. I don't think JTT is going anywhere so he can be helpful.

No, I'm not that kind of person. I told her the truth and she remembered.

First snow of the winter in Monheim!
Rarely happens that it snows where I live. Especially as "early" in the winter as this. Of course driving the 50 km home through the snow wasn't nearly as much fun as taking pictures of it.

Whoa! Even Germany has more snow than our little town! Tornio is beeing a weirdo this year. I feel like I live in Forks It's been mostly cloudy and rainy all year up till now. And still is. We had a little snow a week ago or so but most of it melt off. Now there's just this see-thru-layer of snow on the ground that looks dirty. It's weird since there's lots of snow north from us and south from us. Even Helsinki has more snow than us and it rarely snows in Helsinki. Well, I don't mind. I'm not a big fan of snow. It just makes a huge mess and melts in your socks...
Time sure flies! It's almost december again... I'm starting to get the stress-sores on my belly.. Soon it will be the partyseason for us. I've gotta through a party every freaking weekend for over a month! I wish one of the kids would had been born some other time of year... and then there's the Christmas and new year between S and R's bds...

Looks like a frame from a film noir film.
Weather Channel is forcasting less than an inch of snow today. Won't be around long, will melt quickly with highs in the upper 30's, lower 40's forcasted for the rest of the week.

Not anymore, though. It was very short-lasted, all the snow has melted overnight except for a few splotches in the corners.

Was that supposed to be a statement or a compliment? Maybe I should montage Chris into it...

Oh, I was a bit too hasty when I post my earlier post. I hadn't look outside yet. Well, it actually snowed some more last night and looks kinda like that TeeJay's picture now. Pretty but wetty.. And I actually had to drive in it all. The roads were icy and snow was still just sitting there. There were these ruts in the road and all. So basicly all the challenges winter can offer us while driving a car. And I had no trouble what so ever to stay on road! :D Can I just say I'm really really proud of my self?!!! :dancing: I even had to take the most difficult route there is to go from place A to B to C and back to B and A. I really don't care if you slapped me in the face right now for beeing so selfish and gloding. I have so little things I can be proud of my self now days, I wouldn't care if you through a snowball at me!

Well, got no snow. Just some flurries. What a surprise, the weatherman was wrong again.

We had snow in Renningen this morning too. I hated it. I don't like snow. Thank God it was gone when I left work. The only day I want snow is Chrismas day but somehow we never have snow then. Stupid weather.

I'm sure as kids most of liked the snow. Playing in it, making snow angels, having snow-ball fights, building forts and other things.
But as adults some of us hate it. I don't like driving in it, shoveling it or just being out in it. But I like looking at it and how it makes everything look so beautiful.

I keep getting called off work because of the weather. Apparently no one eats when it snows .

At the moment, because i walk to work, i like the snow (or at least what we have of it). Next year, when i take the train, as well as driving lessons, then i probably have a different opinion.

I walk to work too, and I HATE the snow. It makes the streets slippery and makes walking more difficult for me, so I have to watch out not to fall. That sucks!

I love the snow but I hate it too. I like having snow days from school. :]

Couldn't agree with you more. I'm just that kind of adult. And my kids are just that kind of kids. They love snow. They could play for hours in it and then they eat it like it's icecream no matter how many millions of times I've told them not to. For few years now I've been telling them I won't be buying any icecream if they eat the snow but apparently snow tastes better than icecream!
LOL, about those 'snowdays' you have over there.. Every freaking year when there's news like that - I mean "american kids get the day off thanks to snow"; "traffic has gone nuts because of snow" - everybody I know (fins) are laughing and saying "geez a little bit of snow and people forget how to drive and go to school". Sorry.. :embarrassed:
Needless to say, I never got the day of because of snow and I'll bet we've had it worse than you. Especially where I grew up. And the cold was worse too. I remember one winter when I was 14 it was -50 degrees celsius (-58 Fahrenheit) in some days. And that was the winter I (dumbass) decided to make a fashion statement out of not wearing a hat everytime I went out... :applause: :embarrassed: And also wear shoes where I couldn't fit on more than one pair of socks and kept getting my gloves lost. So yay, thanks to that I've got these troubles with my fingers and toes... :witsend: Oh, if I could go back in time just once.... I'd slap the 14 year old me in the face.. and tell her not to go with certain boys "in the future". :silly:

When i was at school, i don't think we ever got the day off because of snow. We did have it close early though, because it started flooding.
