They've also spruced up the official site: disney.go.com/disneypictures/racetowitchmountain The trailer's on there now, as well as some cast pics and info. (Don't get too excited, it's just the main guys, and Chris is not among them.)

The official German title for the movie seems to be Die Jagd zum magischen Berg. Which translates to "The Hunt To Magic Mountain". Close enough, I guess. Release date is April 9, 2009.

LOL! We don't have any amusement parks here that are called Magic Mountain (that I know of), so I think we're safe in Germany.

Too bad I already have the Escape & Return Special Editions. But I can buy my own movie ticket(s). If this one holds up to repeat viewing, I'm gonna see it till my eyes bleed.

Typical Disney. They even talked about releasing and pulling and releasing and pulling in that TCM special about live action Disney movies that I watched Sunday night.

I'm with you on that, Deb. I'm planning to see it at least twice in theaters. Hopefully I'll have the chance to see it more than that! : ]

That reminds me that I still have to see those movies. They're sitting right next to my DVD player, but I just couldn't find the time to watch them yet. I guess I'll save them for New Year's Eve.

They updated the official site again if you click on Enter The Site before the trailer gets going (I suggest pausing it), you can get to Cast/Photos/etc. Still no big presence for Chris. I'm gonna mention that to Andy. I'm sure he has no control over how Disney markets the movie but it couldn't hurt to mention that we'd like to see him there.

One of my Google alerts said that RTWM will be released on Blu-ray in October 2009. This was a German site, so I'm guessing it's the German release date. The theatrical German release is only three weeks after the US one, so I guess we can assume DVD release in the US will be some time around September/October as well. That's not bad at all.

I'm pretty sure that the theatrical release date will hold. It's a Disney movie, their releases should be fairly stable. Maybe US DVD release is in the summer and German DVD release in fall. That's entirely possible.

That date is firm. They had it secured before the film even started shooting. This ain't Fanboys. It's a major release. The standees are already up in the theaters. I got a cell phone pic of one weekend before last. And keep in mind that Disney does things their own way. Especially when it comes to DVD releasing. I expect it to be more like August, but who really knows until we get there?

I hope we get an awesome DVD out of this, with tons of extras. We know a gag reel exists because Chris told us about it. Hope they use it. Bloopers are always so much fun. I will always love the Just Friends DVD a little bit more than it probably deserves because they used Chris to intro the special features, and he's in them too. He was so cute and funny! Just priceless.

Reminds me of one of my all time favorite wallies...
