The Boat - Adam & Joan Focused Recap by TeeJay

We didn't say much about Touch Move either because there just wasn't any real Adam/Joan in it.  So here's the next wonderful ep, The Boat.  I think he was already falling for her in this one.  Pay really close attention to how he looks at her in the book store scene and the one in the garage with her "beautiful boat"...

The scene at the bookstore always makes me sad.

I think the scene in the bookstore made me start falling for Adam's character. I'm a sucker for the tragic heroes. Well, Adam was never a hero in the true sense of the word, but he was definitely a tragic character in his own way.

He's totally tragic.  That's why I love him.  Watching him slowly come out of his shell is one of the profound pleasures of the show.

It makes me sad because even though he has all these burdens he still wants to help Joan with hers. Maybe that unselfish quality makes him a hero too.

He's a hero in my book.  Well, er, in our fanfic I should say.  He takes on his own mission for God at one point.  smile

Oh I definitely consider him a hero, no doubt about it.
