2x02 Out Of Sight

Wow. It took me this long to fall in love with this episode. I'm doing another tour through the show, mainly to watch the A/J parts. This one has its moments, but I never really paid super-close attention to the whole thing till now. It's terrific. There are some excellent set-ups for all kinds of things that will pay off later. Chris has some very nice moments. Love his hand on Grace's shoulder after their "conversation", during which he says nothing but speaks volumes. And I love the end, with its classic A/J scene, and then Joan being comforted by Mrs. LandingGod.

I watched Only Connect right before this tonight and I really like that one more and more too. But man that stuff with Sammy's wife is so disturbing! Or is it just me?

I didn't get any work done tonight. I was a little head-achy and tired and just wanted some comfort. There's a fantastic baseball game on right now, which bums me out because I'd like to keep going with my tour for a while. Cubs 5, Cards 4. And what a battle. Guess more A/J will have to wait till tomorrow.

I actually had similar thought about Sammy's wife. I wonder why they put her in the show.

God says it. Joan was supposed to see what real "crazy" looked like. It was supposed to shock her out of hiding behind her little "breakdown". And it did. The look on her face is priceless during that scene. She is completely thrown.

It was a good episode. I agree, the part with Sammy's wife was disturbing. That actress was very good. I think up until then you don't really like or know Sammy that much but after that it makes you feel for him and what he has to go through.

That's true. And somehow we all end up with affection for Sammy #1, and we get to move our previous disdain onto Not!Sammy.

It may be stupid but it just made me crack up a little while ago. RIght when Joan sees Judith, she hits Adam in the ear. I never noticed that before for some reason but it's really funny to me.

No, I kinda got sidetracked from my marathoning, but I hope to get back to it very soon. Next up is The Gift and I love that one so much it's kind of ridiculous.
