It's still cold in Germany!

I am planning to improve my photography skills this year, too, but currently it's just too cold for me to go out if I don't necessarily have to.

They are some really nice pictures TeeJay. I love taking pictures of the environment, but unless im gonna take pictures of people living rough and sitting on their fences drinking beer, i'm limited to what i can take.

On another note, finally started to get new wallpaper up in my room and it's such a nicer feel about the room now.

Well, it's not like I walked outside my door and took those pics. I had to drive 10 minutes down to the Rhein to get those shots. But I guess compared to the big cities, I still live in a kinda idyllic place.

On a more serious note, I believe you might even find something interesting to take a picture of at the prison. If you look closely enough, there's beauty hidden in the most mundane things sometimes.

Gee it's going to get cold here on Thursday.

According to the Weather Channel the high on Thursday will just be 4 degrees above zero, with Thursday Night's low will be -9.

Now some local stations are saying that Thursdays high maybe only -2.

The only good thing is that it's a short lived cold snap and that by Saturday it'll be back up to the mid 20's.

The good thing is that it's not even going to get as cold as what Alaska has been going through this Winter. I saw on the news that their highs are only around -25 to -45, that's not the wind chill - the actual air temperature.
I don't even know how you could even live up there with temps that cold. I've even heard that the extreme cold actually turns gasoline into a jelly.

EDIT: Now we're under a Blizzard Watch for late tonight into Tuesday morning. Not for lots of snow, but blowing & drifting snow creating white out conditions.
I can't even remember the last time we had a Blizzard Watch go into effect.

Now we're under a Blizzard Warning until Noon Tuesday. 2 to 5 inches of snow with winds up to 35 MPH.

Wet and icy is the word around here. Kinda warm, some of the snow is melting and the roads are awful. I hope it doesn't get colder just yet or there will awful ruts in the roads again. as if they weren't bad already but if they freeze now on the condition they're now, someone's gonna get killed.

More positive note: Guess who just walked in couple of hours ago and suprised us all?! My little brother T! Haven't seen him in months! He's closest to me of all my siblings. The kids are hilariusly excited about him being here. Theyr're even on their best behaviour. Yay! T will spend the night on our new airmatress and continue his way. He came from up north and heads to southern Finland. He just got off the army. Busy to get to his girlfriend.

At least they canceled the Blizzard Warning for this morning.

That's the good news.

The bad news is that it's going to be frigid here on Thursday & Friday. Highs near 0 with lows around -10.

I just want to get through those two days, then the 20's will feel like a heat wave compared to that.

I just found out Liam might have Fragile X Syndrome. We don't know for certain yet. But basically what it means is that all the problems he's had since he was born won't get better, no matter how much therapy he gets. It's a genetic disorder. Passed down by Whinnie.

In some twisted way, it's best she's not here. She wouldn't be able to survive this.

Today: Falling temps from the low teens.
Tonight's Low -7

Thursday:
High -1
Low: -15

Friday:
High: 8
Low: 7

Can't wait till Saturday.
Saturday:
High: 23
Low: 15

They said the low at Devil's Lake in Minnesota this morning was -49 - not the wind chill, the actual air temperature.
I don't know how you could even just do basic things in that kind of temps. They showed where someone threw water into the air and it froze in mid-air before hitting the ground.
