Re: Randomness

Hadn't thought of it like that.  You've definitely got a point.

Re: Randomness

Anyone here use Jamd? It's a site which hosts thousands of photos and you can favourite particular ones.

I'm just having a problem trying to get my account to work. It doesn't want to favourite any photos. I've made another account but still have the same problem. Just wondering if anyone uses the site?

I've looked at pics on that site, but I've never tried to sign up for it.

Re: Randomness

So I bought 2 cans of New England Clam Chowder from Campbells yesterday.

I had one for lunch yesterday and it was great.

However, I opened up the second can today and it just didn't look right. Instead of being creamy, it all looked like sour milk. It smelled ok and all. I tried a very small amount and it didn't taste right, so I spit it out right away.

I threw it away. Not worth getting sick over a few bucks.

I contacted Campbells via their website and hopefully they'll send out a coupon or something for a replacement.

Re: Randomness

So I woke up yesterday where I couldn't hear out of my left ear. It must be clogged up with ear wax. So I used some Murine ear wax removal drops and that hasn't helped yet.

It's so weird to hear out of only one ear.

I get this from time to time and it should clear up within a few days.

Re: Randomness

Try living your whole life like that.  I've been deaf in my left ear since I was 3.  Once, about ten years ago, I had a bad ear infection in my right ear and couldn't hear anything at all for 5 whole days.  When the worst of it cleared up, everything was still muffled for about 3 weeks.  I could tolerate watching TV, but I couldn't stand listening to music because it sounded awful.  My 26 mile each way commute to work was a huge drag in a silent car.

Re: Randomness

Thanks.  :-)

Didn't mean to try to top your situation, Illinois.  I should've said I can really empathize because I certainly can.

I really want to get my ears "candled".  I just can't afford it.  My friend Elaine has done it ans she swears by it.  When I was a kid, I had to have my ears cleaned out constantly because of the ear infection that stole my hearing.  I hated it.  It hurt.  I haven't had it done in a billion years.  But I'd love to hear better in my good ear and get all the crud out of my dead ear.  Maybe one of these days I'll get candled.

Re: Randomness

Sorry about your hearing, Deb. I've got a friend that has been deaf on his left ear all his life. He can hear something with it when he has a hearing-aid, but still it's best to stay on his right side everytime I meat him...

Ok. my youngest just went for a nap, and the other kids are watching Brother bear. I think I'll take a shower now and take the midkid with me so he can take a bath... Then some dinner and grocery shopping and have to see if I've got what it takes to have another evening walk.. I hope my belly won't argue with me again once I eat the dinner.. I'm feeling amazingly painless and healthy today. big_smile

Re: Randomness

LOL!  Ask my friends about trying to walk on my left side and how they always get "placed" on my right side.

Re: Randomness

I've been reading on the net about using warm Sweet Oil.

Does that work well?

Right now I can hear a little out of it, but everything is muffled. So it's gotten a little better than before.

Re: Randomness

I don't know much about ear stuff, I've never had problems with my ears except for one time where I also thought one ear was clogged with ear wax. I had a doctor remove it, but she did it with a long, thin, metal something. It didn't hurt, though. And my hearing has been fine ever since. Hope you get your ear fixed up, Illinois.

Re: Randomness

In case you wondered where I was for the last few days ... I had to go to the hospital because I had a REALLY painful abscess (you don't wanna know where). They had to operate it yesterday and I had to spend the night there, but now I am home. I have to go back every day though, because it has to be cleaned. This is so NOT funny. roll

Oooh, sorry to hear that.  My friend Steph has had one for a few years that comes and goes.  Sounds like hell.  Hope you fell better really soon.

Re: Randomness

I hope it will get better soon. Cleaning hurts like hell, and the nasty thing didn't exactly choose the most comfortable spot (Like I said, you don't really wanna know where it is ...). I ordered some really hard painkillers for tomorrow and I hope they'll do their job tomorrow.
The doc certified me unfit for work for the next two weeks ... I don't think my bosses will be happy about it, but well ... I didn't wish for that thing! I'd rather go to work than to the hospital again ...

Re: Randomness

Sorry to hear that, Anne. Hope you get better soon. I was wondering where you went. Something should arrive in the mail for you real soon, maybe that'll cheer you up a little.

I wouldn't worry too much about your bosses. If you're ill, you're ill. Not your fault, you didn't choose to get an abscess (which, by the way, sounds really nasty).
