Well, I hope I'll be able to catch the package since I am currently staying at my parents's house, but we're going back to my apartment tomorrow, I need some fresh clothes. And trust me, it IS nasty.

I got it today, my neighbor picked it up for me. Thank you very much for the calender, it's awesome. I'll find a special place for it. Unfortunately the January pic will probably not make it to my apartment, but that's kind of okay since the same pic is already in my dining area.
Oh, and unfortunately there was no sand it that little plastic box you sent with the package - it probably got lost somewhere else, there wasn't any sand in the package either. :clueless:

So I woke up this morning and the good news is that my hearing is back.

But boy is my ear sore. It's sore from pressing on the outside of the ear to try and "pop" the ear back open.

I'm going to take some Ibuprofen.

The good thing about being certified sick is that I finally have plenty of time to catch up with all my American TV shows. I watched a few Numb3rs episodes yesterday and earlier today and now I started with Grey's Anatomy. Funny thing is, the anesthesiologist I talked to the day of my operation asked me if I wanted a general anesthetic or just that other thing they do with the spinal cord (I couldn't find the English word for that, sorry). I chose the general anesthetic and said that I rather watch the operation on Grey's Anatomy and the guy actually smiled when I said that. LOL

Terrific weather this weekend.

Right now it's 36F with sunny skies.
Warm tomorrow as well.

Cold Monday through Wednesday with highs in the 20's.

But a really nice Winter thaw is coming next week.
From Thursday the 5th through Monday the 9th we'll have highs near 40F each day.

Should really melt a lot of the snow, perhaps all of it. I can't tell you how ugly it looks around here. Black snow along the roads is horrible looking.

Woke up this morning and the ground is covered in snow. I think we've had more snow this morning that we did the whole of last year. Apparently it's the worst snow we've had since 1991.

Couldn't get in the car so had to walk to work, only to find out everyone else was on their way home.

CNN just had on that they closed Heathrow Airport due to 6 inches of snow. Most they've had in about 2 decades.

Around here that's nothing. O'Hare would likely have delays, but it wouldn't close it down.

I did my Federal taxes this morning. Took me about 5 minutes to do and another minute or two to check it again.
Planning on either getting a new tv or a new computer. I'm leaning towards the tv at this point.

I owe the state a few bucks, but they can wait until April to get their greedy hands on more or my money.

Looks like everyone's suffering from one ailment or another. I have an appointment with a new orthopedist tomorrow morning at 9:45 because my shoulder muscles are so tense that every movement hurts. Hope he prescribes some massage sessions. Or gives me an injection. Or both. This sucks.

Hope you feel better soon, Deb. Give Joe a whack in the head for bringing back the bugs, next time you see him.

I should go lie down on the couch because sitting in my desk chair doesn't help much when you have back problems. <sigh> Hope everyone who's home sick will be okay again very soon!

Right now I'm happy to be certified sick for another week ... my dad's cold has finally found it's way to me. This just sucks. I wanna go home to my apartment.
The good thing is that I still have plenty of time for my shows. I finished GA, Numb3rs, Cold Case and PP so far. I still have some Medium to watch (which I will start tonight with) and CSI:NY. And I'm sure I forgot something. LOL
