I haven't had one cold yet this Winter.;)

Well, I watched I'm Reed Fish just now. Great little movie, I loved it.
Hope y'all get better real soon. I'm not off work, so I guess I shouldn't complain too much. Though I'm kinda expecting to have caught my friend Friederike's British bug that she brought over this weekend. Hope my immune system is strong enough to battle it before it can do any damage.

I'm home sick with a sinus infection that Joe brought back from Ohio last week. Evil Buckeye Bug!
I don't know what it is about Ohio but it always seems to make everyone sick. Hope you and everyone else who is sick will feel better soon.

I hope you feel better soon Deb, TJ, and Anne.

Thanks. I developed a horrific headache tonight, but I am very medicated right now, so it's dulled. Hope it's not so bad tomorrow.

I might as well join the troops labelled "patients"... My stomatch has been acting up again. And yesterday there was a note on the mail that I'll be having my Gastroscopia on the 18th... Well, atleast I'm getting some answers!
Too much minus degrees around here. I'm freazing. Sticking inside.
Yesterday this song started to play in my head and it got really annoying really fast when it didn't go away... It was "naa, I'm a windowshopper" and it started playing after one salesperson left our house... one that was selling windows...

I had one of those in November last year. If yours goes like mine does, you don't have anything to fear about the actual procedure. I got a medication that made me sleepy and I basically slept through the whole thing. It's not exactly like anaesthesia because you're still responsive to a certain degree, but you're sedated and you don't remember anything afterwards. At least that's how it was with me. Crossing fingers that it'll help finding out what's wrong, Maria.
Hope you feel better today, Deb. Headaches are nasty things, I'm dealing with them right now too, but it's nothing horrific (thank God!). Knock on wood, but I've never had a migraine. And I'm not keen on ever experiencing any.
Here's a piece of good advice: Don't grow old! Listen to us, we're like old people, competing who has the worst ailment!

That sounds scary to me ....:clueless:
That's why I chose to have a general anesthesia and not the thing they do with your spine. And the painkillers I got from my doc to take before they clean the thingy didn't work at all! It still hurt like hell, but at least I don't have to go there anymore, unless it's getting worse again. Which won't happen, I hope.

I may have had my faith in orthopedists restored today.
I can't tell you often enough, if you live a pain-free life (occassional ailments excluded), please always remember how lucky you are. There may be hope on the horizon for me now. Cross your fingers that things'll work out. I almost don't dare hope that maybe one day I can wake up and not have an aching back.

Ugh, sounds like some not so pleasant ailments going around. My thoughts are especially with you Anne. I wish you a speedy recovery, and minimal discomfort until then.
I might as well share what I've been going through. Not a sickness, per say, but an ailment for sure. I some how, beyond my wildest wonderings, contracted Athlete's foot. Not that I never expected women couldn't get it, but it always seemed like a man's condition, and I must admit I'm disgusted at having it. I feel so un-feminine with this.
I first noticed it late November, with a blister in between my toes, and when it popped it just itched like CRAZY. Didn't think much of it until the skin started peeling off, and the itch just got worse. After a few times of the itch actually waking me up in the middle of the night, I got Gold Bond cream and hydrocortisone cream, but neither seemed to be helping much. My mother, who's a nurse, said it sounded like Athlete's foot when I explained my condition to her. She said that I had it once before at the age of three, and was taking swim lessons at the local YMCA. I remember the swim lessons, but I don't remember ever having an itchy foot while being there. Well, after hearing this from my mother, I got some anti-fungal cream and have been applying it every day for the last two weeks. My foot is feeling much, much better. Still peeling a little, but not itching hardly at all any more. I'm suppose to be applying the anti-fungal cream for two more weeks just to be sure it's completely gone and to keep it from coming back. I should scrub my tub and bathroom floor really well, too, since those are the only places I'm ever barefoot (I hate walking around barefoot, anywhere, anytime). What baffles me is I have no earthly clue where I could have picked this up, especially since I'm never barefoot! I'm so confused over that.

I had it when I was a kid. Got it from showering after my dad who was a little league umpire and got a really bad case one summer. It was awful! I hope you get rid of it very soon. It's just horrible!

Ugh, Lynnie, that sounds really nasty! I hope that thingy will go away soon.
I, now, feel so much better. I returned home today (from my parents's place since we don't have to go to the hospital anymore) and now I am "enjoying" my last days of being certified sick. And I just discovered that my W-Lan is working again! I guess it was a good thing that I turned off the modem before I went to my parents's place. It seems like it needed some rest. Let's hope it'll work now.

Great story about Buck the dog, I highly enjoyed it. I'm a total animal lover. And I shared the green comet with a friend who loves all things science and space and he was grateful. Thank you for sharing them, Deb!
Also thanks to those who sent well wishes concerning my foot. It hardly itches at all any more, other than when I scrub it really well with those mesh exfoliating gloves. And I'm wondering if even that is just a phantom itch, since my foot had been itching so bad for so long. Thankfully, it's not as disgusting as I first thought. Sure, the thought of fungi, or tiny mushrooms, growing in my skin is indeed disgusting. But there was no weird smell, nothing oozing from it, and other than the skin peeling, didn't look any different. And the skin peeling wasn't any more extreme than normal dead skin peeling off. It's just that it kept doing it. :clueless: It was just so darn ITCHY. Drove me absolutely nuts! I'm sooooooo happy that's taken care of now. I'm still applying the cream, just to be sure it doesn't come back.
I mopped my bathroom floor with bleach today. And my kitchen floor too while I was at it, although I'm never barefoot in my kitchen. It just needed a mopping.

Having a nice winter thaw this week.
Yesterday we were in the 50's and it melted a vast majority of the snow. Only thing left is the mounds of snow by driveways, parking lots and the sides of the roads.
Today is a little cooler, around 40F.
Warmer tomorrow, into the 50's again.
Tuesday is going to be warm, with a high of around 66F.
Of course this can't last, towards the end of next week it'll be back into the 30's.
It is so nice to see the grass again, even if it's a dead and brown.

My Lovemyflash MySpace layout doesn't work anymore. It says I need to add them as a friend, but they are already added. How weird is that? Well, I just deleted them and sent them a new request.
