I'm sure a lot of you can guess my answer on this one. And thank you Illinois for making the argument I usually have to make that the sound is half of the movie.
As to the documenary Features. I love these. They are often the best films of the year. I have seen two of the nominees this year "Man on Wire" and "Encounters at the End of the World" and they are better than a couple of the best Picture nominees I've seen.
And finally I'm going to get on my soapbox for a moment. I know that the cheekbones are more popular and definately better to look at than the "technical" people. But if you love movies, they are all equally important to the art of filmaking. With the exception of the director and the writer (who are more important), every other creative position (including acting)is extremely and equally important. The great movies are the ones where all of the creative people pool their talents and make something special. The actors often get the credit for it, but the entire creative team is responsible.
Joan: So, my true nature is to be a catalyst? That is mad anti-climatic.
God: Anti climactic. Anti-climatic means you're against the weather.

I enjoy all the Oscars and I always sit through all of a movie's credits. Everyone deserves recognition for a job well done.
