I heard about this this morning.  So sad.  A terrific actor.  He got some fantastic character parts, but he got to be the leading man sometimes.  One of my favorite movies from the 90s was "Enemies: A Love Story".  He'll be missed.

I always associate him with Reversal of Fortune.  He was fantastic, but overlooked because of the equally fantastic (but more obvious) performance by Jeremy Irons.

That's true.  Silver's Dershowitz was brilliant, but next to Jeremy Irons' reptilian performance as Claus von Bulow it was overlooked.

Oh yeah, me too.  He played Alan Dershowitz in that one, very very well, I might add.  But by far, my favorite thing he did was play Jerry Lewis's son in my second favorite arc of the TV show, Wiseguy.
