I know this sounds completely insane and that i should be locked up, but at the moment i'm jealous of those folk you call actors. Only because that's basically been my dream most of my life.

It is what i want. I just don't have the confidence anymore that i used to have.

Yeah, I definitely know what you mean about that. And I don't really know how one gets one's confidence back. Wish I did. My slide started when I had a roommate for 4 years who wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise. I used to be a pretty big talker. Now, I've lost the habit. I rarely assert my views in a group anymore and often even find it hard to carry on a conversation with even one person. I guess after being squelched for so long, you start to believe nothing you say matters so why say anything? Then I lost my job and gained weight. Lost my writing partner and any and all hope of ever breaking in as a screenwriter. I'm obviously not the right person to help you with that issue.

It all started when i was about 13. I hated growing up after this age. It's started to come back, but things are still difficult. I'm more comfortable answering a phone now than i ever was.

That thing about not observing the genitals cracked me up. I used to have a roommate who was raised Catholic and she admitted in a very roundabout way once that she never touched her own genitalia, ever. Because it was a sin. Of course she'd have pre-marital sex and use birth control, smoke weed and drink, but by God she was not going to touch her genitals! Fine if other people like her boyfriend touched them, but she was NOT ALLOWED.

Dude, I could never be Catholic.
