Jane Elliot is a very famous soap diva. She's mostly known for playing Tracy Quartermaine on General Hospital for like a gabillion years, but I became a fan when she was briefly on Guiding Light in the very early 80's.

To me, she was always way too good for soaps, but she kinda got stuck there. She's done a few films. She was Eric Stoltz's mom in Some Kind Of Wonderful, for instance.

Yeah, she's terrific! She did an episode of L&O a few years back. It was the episode where they based the story on the case of the man who murdered Gianni Versace. She must've done it during her Guiding Light years, because GH is shot on the west coast.
