One of my cousins dog lived to be almost 20. My granny had the same cat all the way thru my chilhood. It had like 15 sets of kittens. My dad keeps dogs as long as they live. Well, when they get sick, he has them put down. He always names them the same and they're always the same race. His hunting buddies. When I was a kid, we moved a lot (mom and us) and we never had a dog longer than few years. It was heart breaking to always give them up or say goodbyes because they got put down just because we moved... I used to be a dog person but now it looks as if I'm allergic to anything with hair. I'll just get a gekko or something. I'm actually getting into lizards now.

I just got roses! Smells divine. ♥ And tomorrow we'll finally get to taste that beautiful, delicious looking cake! Gotta love mothersday. I'd love to get flowers more often than once a year, thou. Hubby don't usually give me flowers on other occasions.. I like flowers now days so it bums me out. But I guess he's living in the past remembering what I told him five years ago; about not getting why women always get flowers. lol. I've told him about my change of heart a million times but old dog can't learn new tricks... Obviously he's getting old

Whoa. I just had a hornet checking out my balcony. I heard this low buzzing sound and for a while I thought it was someone mowing the lawn outside. Then I looked and it was this bleepin' huge black and yellow insect flying around outside my bedroom window. Geez, that thing was over two inches long. Good thing I have a pollen screen on the bedroom window and all other windows were closed. I think I would have freaked if that thing had flown into my apartment!

Let's just hope she doesn't bring any friends.

Awwww.. My daughter had made me some cards and a butterfly-magnet at school. Hubby gave one of those mugs with cute text. It said "rakas" on the out-surface. Rakas means "loved one" in finnish. inside there was this huge declaration of love. ♥ It was small and cheap but it's the thought that counts and it was cute. More than I expected. Oh, and maybe the best present was that he had cleaned the kitchen. And I'd call that an act of a white knight since he rarely does it and it was seriously messed up. I didn't clean it yesterday so there was two days worth of dishes.. :embarrassed:
