Land of the Lost

Here is the link to the poster for the Land of the Lost movie.

I don't remember the early 1970's TV series that much, but I remember the 90's version quite well. Gee that jeep got great gas mileage and their batteries lasted forever.

That's pretty cool, actually.  The Sleestak look awesome!  I've seen some great pics of them, but I haven't seen Chaka yet.  I'm glad it's gonna be cheesy.  The original series took itself far too seriously, for something so terrifically campy.  One of my all time faves.  I could sing you the theme song right now...

Rick Marshall, Will & Holly
on a routine expedition
met the greatest earthquake ever known
high on the rapids,
it struck their tiny raft,
and plunged them down
a thousand feet below,
to the Land Of The Lost...

Re: Land of the Lost

Well, it officially bombed at the box office with an opening weekend of $19.5M.

It'll be lucky if it makes $70M domestically.

I was concerned from the beginning with Will being cast and the elimination of the family being stuck in the 'Land of the Lost'. I think instead of going with the comedy route they should have went with a more serious take of the idea.

I think they just changed the concept too much to please fans of the show and others simply didn't even remember the show to begin with. So the potential audience was limited right off the bat.

Anyways, I'll probably check it out on dvd when it's released.
