Re: The Brothers Marquette

I really liked Rob Zombie's first Halloween and I can't wait to see H2. It's so awesome that's Sean's going to be in it!

Re: The Brothers Marquette

It's weird, he's not in the credits at all, but I know he came to Georgia to shoot it.  You guys remember, not that long ago.  That's why I can't believe already got a teaser trailer for it.

Re: The Brothers Marquette

It's been a while since I've been here, my computer is currently down.  It's in need of a new hard drive.  So for the past number of weeks I've been having to borrow friends/family/company computers to do anything.

Anyway, for anyone interested, Sean's animated project, Foster's, is airing it's last episodes this Sunday, May 3rd on Cartoon Network, starting at 4:30 pm and lasting until 7.  There's a marathon of older episodes before that starting at 1.  Sadly, I'll be working during that whole time, and will be lucky to get home in time to even see the series finale at 6:30.  I'm really sad to see the show ending.  It's been one of my favorites for the last number of years and I've gotten involved with the fanbase more with this one than I ever have with any other animated series.

So farewell, Foster's!  You'll be sorely missed.   :crying:

Re: The Brothers Marquette

Hi Lynnie, nice to see you.  That sucks about your computer.  And yeah, it's sad that Foster's is going, but you got one more year out of it than expected, right?  Hope you get your computer fixed soon.  Trust me, I know what that's like.

I finally got arounnd to watching the Sean auditions, and I have to agree. They're great. Does anyone know what this audition was for? From what I can gather online, it's supposed to be a remake of "Brighton Beach Memoirs", seeing how there's an anspiring writer in it who's called Eugene. Wonder if/when the announcements about casting will be made. If it's really what I think it is, then if Sean got the role of Eugene, he'd be the lead.

The High School video was deleted off of YouTube before I got a chance to watch it. sad

Re: The Brothers Marquette

I think he was just monologuing from Brighton Beach for a movie audition.  People do that all the time.  Neil Simon plays are classic for use as audition pieces.

Re: The Brothers Marquette

One of the scenes he read was about him and his brother or friend writing something for a CBS comedy show. Isn't the original Brighton Beach Memoirs set in the 1930's? I read something online about a remake, and it would make sense that they'd adapt it to modern times. Also, in the second audition he introduces himself and says he's reading for the role of Eugene. Plus, he isn't monologuing, there's someone else, off camera, reading the scenes with him as it was actual dialogue. It very much sounded like this was a specific role he was auditioning for, but that's pretty much all guesswork on my part.

Re: The Brothers Marquette

If they do remake Brighton Beach and update it to modern times, that would be ridiculous.  If he was talking about him and his brother writing for TV, that part was from Broadway Bound, the third play in the Eugene Jerome trilogy.  They go like this:

Brighton Beach - Eugene's boyhood in the 30's
Biloxi Blues  - Eugene in basic training for the Army during WWII
Broadway Bound  - Eugene becomes a writer in the 50's

It'd be tough for Sean to play that role at his age.  He's too old for the first play, too young for the third play.  Biloxi is the only one he fits age-wise.  That's why I never took those auditions to be about actually doing those plays.  But who knows?

Re: The Brothers Marquette

Since I don't know the plays and on YouTube it only said "Sean Marquette - Brighton Beach", I can't really make heads or tails of it. Guess we'll see eventually if they really do remake it, and if so, if Sean lands a role.

Re: The Brothers Marquette

Oh, btw, here's some more trivia. In the audition video, Sean says he's about 5'7". And he says he's reading for Eugene. Does that not mean he's auditioning for the role? Oh well, we may find out (or not).

Yeah, there's nothing online either. Guess the casting is either still ongoing or he didn't get it. Or the audition was for something else after all.

Sean, please cut your hair (and Chris's along with it). Very small role, huh? And why did I have a 4400 flashback when I saw him in the orange jumpsuit?

I just don't like either of them with long hair. Unless it's Adamy with no product in it. But they both seem to be fond of their hair gel.......

What was the character's name again?  Joe Ricky something?  I thought that was funny too.  Freaks like that always have those kinds of names.
