I can't wait for The Soloist. Hope it plays in OV.

And I'm finally ready to admit it: I so want to see How To Be. The trailer made a Robert Pattinson Fan. Yeah. It happened. LOL big_smile

Oh, and because this was totally OffTopic, here's some BTT: I don't want to see any horror flicks or the Hanna Montana thing (*puke*)

Except for New Moon, I don't think I've even heard of most of those movies. I usually go by what plays here in OV and then decide whether I wanna see it or not. Of course there's movies like New Moon or Harry Potter that I know about in advance and will certainly want to watch.

Actually I think "Away We Go" looks pretty good, I'm a big Dave Eggers fan.  I do think it's kind of lame that the poster looks so much like the Juno posters.

And I love chick flicks!

I'm sure their are lots more that I'm not interested in seeing.
If something isn't included it's either because I am interested in seeing it or it could go either way.

You sure? I could so totally see you watching the Jonas Brothers Concert. lol tongue

LOL. Is there gonna be a High School Musical 4? Maybe that would be something for your DVD shelf too, Illinois. big_smile

Re: Films you have no interest in seeing. 2009 & above.

Away We Go is going to be the sleeper hit of the year, I bet.  I do want to see it, but I might not go to the theater for it, simply because I can't afford anything this year.  Truth is, I don't care about MOST movies until someone finds a way to pull me in and MAKE me want to see them.  So I'm totally ambivalent about this thread.

Re: Films you have no interest in seeing. 2009 & above.

I won't post pictures so I won't have to throw up, but I think anyone who knows me knows that anything featuring a certain horrible "actor" --- who's presence is constantly shoved down my throat, even on my own message board, much to my dismay --- would be at the very top of my MUST AVOID list.  Gosh, I guess I'd better not even mention his name or someone might report me to... well... me.

Re: Films you have no interest in seeing. 2009 & above.

Yeah i agree with most of what has been said here. But yeah i think "I Love You, Man" will be a guilty pleasure for me to watch. One of those movies that you dont expect alot from so you just enjoy watching it. Also New Moon, and My Sister's Keeper are movies i plan to keep an eye out for. But probably not in the cinemas. The others you have listed i either havent heard of or really dont wanna see either. And some i havent heard of but can tell from the picture i dont wanna see...But then i originally didnt want to see the Hangover, but was told i had to. So i went, i saw it and OMG sooo hilarious

Re: Films you have no interest in seeing. 2009 & above.

Oh, one of the ones mentioned that I kinda do wanna see just because of the cast is the Last House On The Left reboot.  Spencer Treat Clark comes off very Adamy in the clips I've seen and I like the idea of Tony Goldwyn turning all badass because he rarely gets to do that.

STC even has the Adamy look down with the hoodie and the long hair.  He was "interesting" looking as a kid, but he's turning into an offbeat hottie, kinda like Chris...

As I have said somewhere before I'm not very interested in most of the reboots, sequels etc.  So, I too have no interest in the Transformer movie (I didn't even like the first one) although for different reasons than Deb.  I do want to see Sunshine Cleaning and maybe Away We Go.

Re: Films you have no interest in seeing. 2009 & above.

Yeah, here's the conclusion of Harry Knowles' review of TF2...

The filmmakers, studio and toymakers behind this film should be ashamed. To spend this type of money to bring this sort of hurtful and repugnant work to screen - it is an insult to every DREAM that so many have WORKed for, for years.

I'd like to ask you not to support this film, but those of you with young boys, I know there isn't a chance. But realize you'll be taking them to see a film with the lowest forms of humor, stereotypes and racism around. Not only that, but its packaged for our children. Which makes it all the more offensive.

Pretty much sums up the very good reasons to ignore it.

Re: Films you have no interest in seeing. 2009 & above.

AICN is either always a 100% pro or contra, I think most of us know that. And more often than not they seem to be contra. The fact that AICN doesn't like the movie isn't all that suprising.

And, you know, the chief complaint of most reviewers seems to be that the movie doesn't have much of a story and is mostly pompous action without any clever dialogue. I mean, come on. If you have a marginal interest in what goes on in Hollywood, I think it should be pretty clear to most people what this movie is going to be: 90 minutes of giant robots battling each other. Whoever went to see this movie with the hopes of seeing a cleverly thought through story with surprising twists and turns must either be delusional or an incurable optimist.

Most people seem to agree on the fact that part 2 isn't as good as part 1. That may well be. I know that I'm still gonna enjoy part 2. Because watching a mindless action movie every once in a while is just what I want and need.

The Last House On The Left remake is intense and disturbing but a lot better than the original. The original was so depressing. They change the remake around a little and in my opinion it's much better.

Just tell me Mel, is Spencer in it enough to warrant a rental?

I'll probably watch it eventually out of curiosity because it's the "sequel" to my favorite movie, but I hate what I've read online about it.

Sacha Baron Cohen must be pissed tonight.  His overhyped Bruno movie is number five in Search terms on Yahoo tonight with DAVID ARQUETTE being #1.  Because DA wants to pull a Blaine for charity.

1. David Arquette
2. Robert Plant
3. Angelina Jolie
4. Jason Priestley
5. Bruno Movie
6. Pamplona Bull Run
7. Eureka TV Show
8. Pedro Martinez
9. BBQ Recipes
10. MLB Scores
