Re: Misc Stuff

I love those movies too!! Oh so much! And P.S. Bells Beach, while awesome, the waves are no where NEAR as big as portrayed in the movie. Hahaha and yeah i actually watched Dazed and Confused a few nights ago. Just made me realise how similiar Remember the Daze is to this movie.

No way Bell's is bigger that Weimea, Brah.  LOL!

Yeah, RTD definitely has some direct rips from D&C.  It's kind of annoying.

It's OK, it'll just be Siffy henceforth.  If they want it to look ridiculous, it might as well sound ridiculous.

Maybe it was the Weinstein marketing geniuses doing some moonlighting.  It really is the strangest and silliest re-branding I've ever seen.

Next, their parent company will rename The USA Network... YOOESSAY.

Trailer for a creepy new NBC series called Day One (from the producers of Lost), about life after an apocalyptic attack from space...

http://www.quietearth.us/articles/2009/ … meets-LOST

David Lyons from ER looks like he'll be the hero.  Cool that we're not only getting him back on NBC this fall, but Maura Tierney too --- in the second attempt to turn the movie Parenthood into a series.

Re: Misc Stuff

OK, I love Ellen Page, right?  And I just noticed that a movie she was in called The Tracey Fragments was on Showtime, so I popped over and watched a few minutes of it.  And that was all I could take.  I've never seen anything like it.  It's got all this crazy picture within a picture stuff going on that is just making my eyes and head hurt.  It was irritating as hell!  I'd be very curious to know if any of you have seen it and what you thought.  I just don't think I can watch it because I never want to see what I just saw again.  It's just too much for no reason.

Re: Misc Stuff

I saw parts of Tracy Fragments and wasn't a big fan of the picture in picture things either.  It was a sensory overload for me I can usually only watch one screen at a time and since I didn't start from the beginning I was a bit confused.

Does anyone watch Entourage on here? I thought the new episode was a little slow considering that it left on such a high note last year.

Re: Misc Stuff

I ADORE Entourage.  I didn't have a problem with the first ep this year.  They had to establish the direction they're going for the season, which is basically for the boys to become more independent of one another.  Somehow, I doubt it'll last.  I bet they'll be back to sharing a house before the end of the year.

Re: Misc Stuff

Oh I liked the episode I was just expecting something different.  I thought it was funny to see Vince drive.  I was wondering if that comment he makes on the talk show about bribing the road test guy into giving him his license is going to come back and bite him.  I also thought it was funny that they were back in one of the old houses again.

It was a great ending when Vince comes home to an empty house though.  Who do you think will have a bigger problem being alone Eric or Vince?

What did you think of last season? I thought it was great to see the downside of his fame but I know a lot of people complained about it not having as much partying.

I also love Entourage I think it is a awesome show, the characters are great.  Do you watch True Blood at all?

Re: Misc Stuff

I think despite his protests to the contrary, Vince will have the hardest time being alone.  Especially when he looks around and not even Drama is there.  Gonna be interesting to see.  I bet Eric and Sloan end up back together too.

I really don't know how they will handle it if Lloyd becomes an agent, but it'll be fun seeing if he can survive 100 days of Ari's torture.

I enjoyed last season.  I think maybe especially because of the difficult year that Chris had.  Seeing Vince's very bad year play out gave me a little insight into what Chris and his friends were going through --- finding no work, losing out on parts, having things fall through, trying to create their own projects.  I enjoy the partying on the show as much as anyone else, but it's the "inside baseball" stuff that really turns me on.

And yeah, I ADORE True Blood too.  One of the best shows on TV.  This week's ep was great.

I have no clue what show that is. Must be on pay cable or something.

Also Family Guy was nominated for Best Comedy Series. WGN's Dean Richards said it's the first time for an animated series The Flintstones.

Re: Misc Stuff

I got sucked into this movie called The Final Season because it's about baseball, and Sean Astin and Michael Angarano are in it.  And Sean's brother Mackenzie just turned up in it too.  Great fun to get to see the Astin brothers working together.  Nice little movie so far.  Rachel Leigh Cook is in it, and Powers Booth and James Gammon and Larry Miler.  I'm enjoying it.  smile

Re: Misc Stuff

I've seen that movie, Deb. Twice. Because I like Angarano. big_smile It's a bit low-paced and seems to lack something.. maybe it's music. I realized there was very little music and I've grown used to having music as part of movies; setting the mood, maybe even some message.. But it is a great movie! Sean Astin was very good at it too.
