Hopefully I won't get this one canceled too.  Shawn reminded me (too late now) that if Entourage gets canceled, it's gonna be on me.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I just read online the hospital is based off UPMC.  Which doesn't really tell me a lot.   Every hospital in the city is a separate branch of the system.  It gets confusing.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I'm a curse too, but maybe we'll get lucky for once.  I don't think you have to worry about Entourage.  The only way it ends is if the makers get sick of doing it.  I think they're contracted through at least one more season already.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

I don't know if you can get to this video without Facebook, but it's really cool.  It's the song Packard Goose from the Joe's Garage show with Becky Wahlstrom.  There's clips from other stuff in the show all blended in as this song plays. It's kinda like a tribute to the show.  The guy who posted it was in the band.  I love it!  The first voice you hear is my namesake, The Central Scrutinizer...

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Last night's Entourage featured a scene with Eric & Ashley laying in bed and it got my mind going in a six degrees kinda way.  Eric is played by Kevin Connolly, and Ashley is played by Alexis Dziena.

Kevin was in Up Up & Away with Chris.  At that time, Kevin was 26 and Chris was about 15.  Who knew they'd both go on to someday have an Alexis character throw herself at each of them in different projects?  LOL!

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Well, when it comes out on dvd she could watch it through a certain point and then either stop or skip that portion. It does say 'In order of appearance' at the top so that helps.

Anyways, the cast looks good to me.

The subject matter tends to sounds a tad too much like a chick flick though to me.
From IMDB:

An anthology film joining several love stories set in one of the most loved cities of the world, New York.

Deb might despise him, but hopefully not enough to seriously wish that kind of fate upon anyone, SLB or not.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Hahaha i do believe this to be true of Deb, dont think she is that dark. However seeing as this happens to him in the movie perhaps you wont mind seeing it, Deb?? Seriously if you miss that movie just because he is in it then i am buying a plane ticket to come visit and slap you silly. This movie, regardless of what it is about, purely based on the amount of talent in it, gotta be a must see in my opinion! Plus i generally love a bits and pieces type film, i am curious though. Cos usually in this type of film there are a handful of standouts amongst the huge level of talent. I will most definitely be watching this movie ASAP.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

No, I certainly don't wish him dead.  I just wish he'd have a few terrible flops in a row so that he stops being cast in EVERYTHING.  That's all I ask.  Does he have to be so damn ubiquitous???

Kate, get your plane ticket now and get ready to start slapping because I won't be seeing this movie.  The only way I'll seeing ANYTHING he's in is if he gets a face transplant, and maybe talks through a voice modification device... Nah, not even then.

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Its an exaggeration to say that he's in everything.

Sure he maybe in some high profile films, but he's not in everything.

A quick look at his IMDB page shows that he's mostly in just 2 or 3 films per year. In fact his peak year in terms of amount of films was 2003 with 4.

I love Anton Yelchin, Cristina Ricci and Natalie Portman. I'm going to see this movie but don't think I'll be seeing it in theaters. I want to be able to skip through the parts with Shia.

I dunno why, but I've never really gotten "into" Demetri Martin, but we will more than likely be seeing Taking Woodstock. It looks neat.

Dakota Fanning is far prettier than Cherie Currie ever was. Elle Fanning is a damned fine actor (see Phoebe in Wonderland, its astonishing).

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Looks like we have a release date for The Open Road.

Ten lucky readers can win tickets to see the comedy film "Open Road" starring Jeff Bridges and Justin Timberlake opening in theaters Fri., Aug. 28.

The plot covers minor league baseball player Carlton Garret (Timberlake) who takes a road trip to track down his estranged father, legendary baseball player Kyle Garret (Bridges) when Carlton's mother (Mary Steenburgen) becomes sick.

Carlton enlists his on-again off-again girlfriend Lucky (Kate Mara) for emotional support. Once reunited, Carlton struggles to deal with the series of misadventures.
