I quite like that he's clearly showing he's just a human being. It's like the President has to be the be all and end all of the nation. Sure, he has to be a role model, but, geez, no one's been crucified yet for killing a fly. While PETA is making a big fuss over an annoying fly that disrupted an interview, thousands of trucks with healthy pigs, cows, chickens and you-name-its are being carted off to their certain deaths so that the non-vegetarians can enjoy a slab of meat on their plates. Get real, folks!

Reminds me a little about that Nickelback interview I watched yesterday. Their new single is called "If Today Was Your Last Day", and Chad Kroeger is being asked what he would do if today was his last day. His answer? He'd loot the latest pub and get drunk. Good on ya, you're a great role model for our youths, Chad.

This is kinda random, but I've been listening a lot to the audio version of Dreams Of My Father (I just had to buy it since it's Obama himself who's reading it) and I'm just AMAZED how good I can keep up with that. When Bush was on TV I basically never understood what he said because he mumbled so much, but Obama's just great. Woohoo.

Heh. Yeah, it's amazing how much being articulate helps. Bush was mush-mouthed, rambling and awkward, and he often just made up words when he couldn't think of the one he was looking for. I never thought about how hard it must be for non-native English speakers to understand him. Glad we have someone who can actually talk --- and read, and write --- in office now.
