That's so tragic. I love Patrick in the movie Ghost. One of my favorite films. R.I.P.

I always liked him best in The Outsiders. He seemed like a good guy.

Re: Patrick Swayze has passed...

Dirty Dancing was my most favorite film when I was younger (pathetic, I know. LOL). I also loved Ghost, of course.
I only just learned about his passing. I am sad now. sad

I agree, Shell.  Despite his fame and success he seemed like a nice, down to earth guy.  My heart goes out to his loved ones.  Very sad day.

Re: Patrick Swayze has passed...

I really want The Outsiders: The Complete Novel on DVD.  I just haven't been able to find it cheap anywhere.  It's got an amazing array of goodies on it.  I love that movie, as cheesy and over-the-top as it is...

Actually, Rumblefish is very good, if overly arty, and Tex is also nifty. I wonder why Matt Dillon's co-star in that, Jim Metzler, didn't become more famous. He was a good actor.

Re: Patrick Swayze has passed...

Rumblefish is inane and wonderful too.  Tex is a perfect little gem.  I kinda grew up on Matt Dillon.

Re: Patrick Swayze has passed...

I didn't want to open a new thread for this. I've just read Solomon Burke died. That makes me sad. I didn't know him too well, but he was my favorite singer from the Dirty Dancing Soundtrack. sad
