Re: Randomness

I finally gave up and left at 6:49.  It was still raining like the dickens, but the traffic had dissipated in my direction.  So other than slogging through some bad areas of standing water, it wasn't too awful.

Re: Randomness

Today, I really envy all the people that don't have kids. My middle one just pulled another stunt that made my heart race and my lungs bleed. No, he did not run away again. he hid so well, so quiet, that after 15 minutes of searching I thought he pulled a houdini and got out of the locked door. and ran away. to the store again, or the school or day care. top three places he always wants to go.. After looking for him for 30 minutes, I get back home and he's just sitting and eating grapes like nobody's business. I made him show me where he hid and I had looked in that closet without seeing him hiding under the jackets. I thought the jackets looked too flat to have him hide under them. Who wants a 4,5 yo? i don't know how many of his stunts i can take anymore.. all the damn horror pictures that come to mind everytime it seems he has ran away... neutral

Re: Randomness

I don't have any kids yet, but I've raised enough of them to know exactly what you mean.
It's amazing what sort of spaces a kid can fit in.. have you had the one yet where the 9yo
locks with 5 yo brother in a freezer chest? Or how bout walking into the living room and one
of the kids has been duct taped to the wall... yes girl, I feel you're pain.. lol

Re: Randomness

Moon, yeah I've read about stories about kids locked inside a freezer chest. I'm always checking there when someone goes into hiding. My boys are way too intrigued by the damn thing. Always opening it up to see if there's ice cream and playing with the lock. darn it. Seems like every stunt possible to make, my boys come up with at some point... KIDS! roll

Re: Randomness

My horoscope for today.  Hmmmm.....

'What's gone, is gone.' That's what they say. They may be right, but what about what's going? Is it really going anywhere at all? You can't assume, just because you have experienced a loss at some time in the past, that you are automatically destined to lose out in the future. Things don't always go wrong, any more than they always turn out right. You're taking an unnecessarily pessimistic view of a sensitive situation now. Nothing is lost while it still exists. And, actually, even some things that have left can yet return.

Re: Randomness

I'm working on it.  Too busy at work to do it here and I'm going home exhausted and with my guts on fire every night to the degree that I just can't face it.
