Yes, against ER, so I guess I'll never see it again.

Re: Private Practice

The show has been renewed.  Now, if only they'd move it to another night.  Say, Wednesday at 9 PM.  If they renew The Unusuals, it'd make a good lead-in.

Re: Private Practice

Wednesday at 9 is LOST, and they aren't getting rid of that any time soon.  But I doubt TU will be coming back, it started off with crap ratings and keeps getting worse.

Re: Private Practice

They could move Lost anywhere and people would follow.  And I wouldn't care because for the third time in the run of the show, I have lost track of Lost and this time I've missed the last season and a half because if you miss one, you're screwed.  And I'm not all that upset about it.  I'll rent the DVDs and marathon it someday.

I've lost track of Private Practice too.  So I'll also have to get that DVD.  Or watch it if they repeat it in the summer.

I still have hope for TU because they seem to want it to last.  But then I had hope for JoA until the announcement was made.  Although, I have always expected Friday Night Lights to be taken from me and it just keeps returning to my loving embrace.  So who knows...?  :clueless:

Re: Private Practice

No one here watches the show anymore, right? Are they really going to let us wait half a year with this cliffhanger? That's just too cruel. I thought when I watched Cold Case from Sunday that they're doing the same thing, but apparently there's going to be one more episode this coming Sunday. Phew!

Re: Private Practice

I still like the show, but I think they jumped it a little bit with the whole Violet/Pete/Sheldon 'havin' my baby' thing.  What happened on the season finale?  Big cliff hanger?

Re: Private Practice

Yes, very big cliffhanger.

SPOILER WARNING!

I don't know how much you've watched, but Addison and Violet had a patient who lost her baby earlier in the season. She was mentally disturbed because she kept believing that her baby was still alive inside of her. Pete and Violet worked with her, and she appeared to have gotten better, but in the finale she lost it and broke into Violet's house and drugged her. She believed Violet had stolen her baby and wanted it back by cutting it out of Violet. By the time she episode ended, this patient was taking a knife to Violet's belly to slice it open. To be continued...

Re: Private Practice

Just saw the Buffy/JoA-cast-heavy ep with the hermaphrodite baby.  Very well-done!  Cooper and Charlotte made me burst into tears.  That was so intense.  And buh-bye Archer.  Don't let the door hit you in the ass...

Re: Private Practice

What a coincidence.  Cooper's dialog tonight included...   "I'm good here.... I'm good here."

Very intense, scary ep.

Re: Private Practice

The kid playing Evan tonight is great.  I looked him up, he impressed me that much:  http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2545508/

He played Rad on Weeds.  Cool.  Totally different look for him tonight.

Re: Private Practice

Apparently we weren't the only ones who felt blindsided by that season finale.  Because Shonda Rhimes felt compelled to write a little piece about it in the most recent issue of TV Guide.  Since it's really short, I'll type it all here.  WARNING: Spoiler Alert!!!!!

SHONDA RHIMES ON DELL'S DEATH
The Private Practice creator pays tribute to the character, who died in the May 13 finale

After the Season 2 finale, I called Chris Lowell.  He was on top of a mountain in Africa.  That's the kind of guy he is.  He's a spirited traveler who considers the world a small place.  Give him three days off and he returns with stories of running with bulls in Pamplona.  We'd had this feeling for a while, he and I, that his character didn't have enough to do.  Dell was a midwife in a world of doctors.  Babies can only be delivered in so many episodes.  Dell got lots of coffee, answered lots of phones.  Mostly, he handed people charts.  Now, Chris is an amazing actor, talented and giving; an actor of his caliber should be doing Shakespeare, not handing people charts.  So we decided that we'd exit his character from the show.  But we disagreed on how.  I wanted him in med school, happy, with Betsey.  Chris wanted to die:  "I want to go in a devastating way."  He's a mountain-top guy, he likes a challenge.  So I took a deep breath and headed for the writers' room.  There's a lot I'll remember about Dell, from the kid with the surfboard that he was to the man he became lying in a hospital bed discussing guinea pigs with Betsey.  And there's a lot I'll remember about Chris: his easy smile; the photos he liked to take of the cast; the tears in his eyes as we filmed his last scene.  William Dell Parker died May 13, 2010.  He is survived by his daughter, Betsey, and his friends Addison, Pete, Sam, Charlotte, Cooper, Naomi and Violet.

Best known for his appearance in Up In The Air?  Really?  Give me a break.  He's in it for literally ten seconds.  Do these writers even bother to do their homework?
