I watched this last night, and, while it is without doubt well made and acted, it is also fairly repellent. Its more or less a remake (with slight changes) of the 1972 "video nasty" of the same name, which itself was a "version" of the Ingmar Bergman film called The Virgin Spring. One of the actors in the remake (and I think that somebody else already pointed this out) called Spencer Treat Clark, reminded me of Chris Marquette.
At a certain part in your life. Probably when too much of it has gone by. You will open your eyes and see yourself for who you are. Especially for everything that made you so different from all the awful normals.

That's why I keep saying I wanna see it, Shell. STC is like a double for Adam, specifically. When I saw the preview, I almost fell out of my chair. He's got the hair, the hoodie, the hang-dog look, the whole nine. And I already like that kid anyway. He was a damn decent little actor in movies like Gladiator and Unbreakable, for instance.

Just saw this. Not much of a movie. The Virgin Spring is excellent. The original Last House had a raw power that came from the low budget and shocking nature. This one is so slick it loses power. (one good touch was bringing back a character from the Virgin Spring which had been left out of the original Last House)
As to STC being like Adam Rove. I'm not sure I would have thought of it if it hadn't been discussed here. Within the movie, I don't see much resemblance. But with the hoodie and shy looks, I can see how he might have been similar in the short cuts of a trailer. In the end, do NOT see this looking for any Adam Rove thrills. You will be disappointed.
Joan: So, my true nature is to be a catalyst? That is mad anti-climatic.
God: Anti climactic. Anti-climatic means you're against the weather.

Oh, I wasn't expecting that. I just like STC already and he looks cute in the trailer, so I might watch it on cable some rainy, cold Saturday or Sunday afternoon. Heh.

The Last House On The Left is pretty disturbing, Deb. You should watch it during the day.
