Re: Thanksgiving 2009

Yes, I have a cube right beside my boss and across from her hubby the sales rep, Megan & Daniel.  This office is only a couple of miles further than CP was from my house, but it's in a terrible area right next to a mall so traffic is going to suck more and more every day until after the holidays.  But since I've left after 6 PM the last 2 nights, it hasn't been so bad.  Trouble is, I've had to go shopping the last 2 nights, which we all know I HATE.  I had to make 5 stops tonight to find everything we needed, and I got caught in a torrential downpour coming out of the 3rd stop, so I was literally dripping wet from head to toe during the last 2 stops.  It was miserable.  I'm already looking forward to March when all this crap will be over.  And I won't go shopping on my own time for the office ever again.  I've just been too busy being overwhelmed the last 2 days to get out of there and do it on company time.

Re: Thanksgiving 2009

Perk up Deb, its just the first week! Things will be easier once you get settled in.  Glad you like your colleagues though, that's the main reason why I staid at my old job for so long! The people you work with can make or break your experience.

I have some interviews lined up for the next few weeks.  I will be certified to teach early childhood. My favorite age is kindergarten but I also like the upper grade levels too and am not too picky.  I like energy level and attention needed in kindergarten. Your busy all the time.

Re: Thanksgiving 2009

Being any kind of teacher, you're busy all the time.  LOL!

Oh, I'm not complaining about the job itself at all.  I think it'll be a happy situation when I get a grasp on it all and we some things organized.  It's a bigger adjustment for my new boss, probably even.  She has to get about half of what she does out of her head and into mine.  Wish humans could just download, ya know?
