Re: Randomness

Ok ok so i went missing off the board for a few days....but I have a reason to be. My brother got married on Friday smile I was the bridesmaid, and EVERYTHING went wrong but it was beautiful and everyone still had a good time so it doesnt matter. First off found out 3 days before the wedding that all the flowers that were ordered werent packed properly and died, (the replaced them though with different flowers) then when we actually go to get ready its sweltering heat and disgusting (but thank god for air con) and then while putting on the dress the maid of honour splits her zip and has to be sewn into the dress. We are running late in the cars and by the time we get to the ceremony we are 20 mins late and it has started storming. It was raining and quite windy. I was walking with my little nephew down the aisle (he is nearly 2) and he stops mid walk and sticks his bum up in the air and bends over and starts picking up the flower girls petals because he thinks she is dropping them by accident. It rains throughout the ceremony so we had to go inside to do the part about lighting the unity candle and signing of the wedding certificate. Because we were late and rushing around they decide to take the photos actually at the reception place while its raining....Hahaha so all in all like I said, EVERYTHING seemed to go wrong, but after it all everyone was still happy to be there and celebrate the wedding. So its all good.

Re: Randomness

Wow, what a crazy wedding!  Good that it all worked out in the end though.

I think that kitten is a prodigy, a genius.  It understood how to mimic the human's gesture.  LOL!

Re: Randomness

Well, I wouldn't trade you that.  But I only got about 5 hours last night too.  And I actually had to learn stuff today.  Very painful.

Dear God, how am I supposed to live two weeks without my laptop? It's not even shipped yet (but all wrapped and ready) and I am already missing Cooper so much ... Maybe I shouldn't base my life on him. LOL

Re: Randomness

This is why I couldn't bear to send Keith away for repairs when he had his weird USB issues.  HP said it'd take 2-3 weeks to get him back.  And over the phone they diagnosed that the mother board was dying --- on a brand new computer.  Hello!  Totally NOT true.  I was just basically overloading his miniscule capacity to support USB devices.  Once I got the Internet off USB and onto Ethernet, the problem stopped.

The point is, I feel your pain.

It's just that Cooper's problems aren't that easy to handle. The shutting down thing and blue screen is really annoying and I also could still slap myself for ruining the DVD drive all by myself ... I'll never forgive myself for that. Poor Cooper. Hopefully they'll fix him soon and completely. I know he's already almost two years old but I don't want to buy a new laptop right now ...

Re: Randomness

How'd you ruin your DVD drive?  Just wondering because mine died after only one pack of 25 DVDs burned.  Still can't figure out why.

Re: Randomness

When my daughter's dvd drive went out about that fast, we took it in, and they told us that just picking up the laptop on the side where the drive is can damage the drive.  They are apparently very fragile.  The tech said to always pick it up by the fold to avoid this.  No idea if this is a possible answer or not.

Re: Randomness

Hmmm.  It'd be really nice if they would maybe WARN people about that, maybe with a sticker, or something in the manual.  But that would cut into their bottom line I guess, so why should they?
