Thanks for posting that, Larry.  I've been so brain-dead from starting a new, very complicated and exhausting job that it didn't even occur to me to post it after Mama Marquette told us about it last week.  And now, after what you said on IMDb about the list being embargoed until today, I'm glad we didn't post it.

Wow cool. I just wish I could go there. I already have three movies from Sundance I'd like to see. But who knows if they'll ever come to Germany? sigh*

Re: "High School" World Premiere at Sundance Film Festival

Thanks Tina! I am going to the festival, of course, but have to wait and see the actual screening schedule. As long as its not in conflict with another film or after I leave I'm definitely going to see High School.

Speaking of mums, I had the lists of all the films well in advance also but had to keep mum about it myself. The last thing I want to do is piss off the filmmakers (I don't care as much about the festival) because I want to have access for interviews, etc. It would definitely have been a negative if you'd posted it so kudos for holding off on it. :applause:

I was so excited when the out-of-comp films came out yesterday since I have so many friends with films there this year. Last year I had ZERO. It was very depressing, especially since 06, 07, 08 were all great years. Besides Sean, this year we have Kristen Stewart with 2 films, Paul Dano, Rory Culkin, Aaron Johnson (he had a film there last year but didn't show up), Melissa Leo, Kevin Zegers, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and many more. Some of my best friends are among them, and I'm very involved this year with Kristen's film Welcome to the Rileys having gotten to know the producer early on. So I already have interviews set up with them. I'm more excited about this year than in awhile.

Hopefully I'll get to see Sean again and maybe Chris will show up. big_smile

I'm bettin' no on Chris showing up.  And Sean will probably only be there if he doesn't have to pay his own way.  Sadly, times are tough for our boys right now.

Re: "High School" World Premiere at Sundance Film Festival

The screening schedule for the 2010 Sundance Film Festival has just been announced.

There will be 5 screenings of HIGH school: Sunday 1/24 at 11:30 PM, Monday 1/25 at 9:00 PM (Salt Lake City), Tuesday 1/26 at 11:59 PM, Thursday 1/28 at 2:15 PM, and Saturday 1/30 at 11:45 PM.

SCHEDULE

BTW the festival always pays the way and puts up the filmmakers and stars -- that's basically what the sponsor money is for. Of course, they decide who is included and if it's a large cast not everyone will be flown in. In the case of someone not being on the list they do, of course, have the option of paying their own way.

I don't know how big his role is or if he is considered one of the major stars of the film. If he is, they will pay his way. If not, they won't.

Also, the filmmakers are only allowed 10 tickets per screening. Very often the cast members cannot get tickets for themselves, at least for the first screenings.

BTW2 the still on the official festival page for the film features Sean and Matt Bush:

Re: "High School" World Premiere at Sundance Film Festival

Cool pic.  Sean plays Travis, one of the two main kids in the movie so he's probably considered one of the main "stars".  Mama said it was a pretty big role that he was really excited about.  I kinda followed along with the production on Facebook and he seemed to be on camera almost every day of the shoot.  That's a pretty good sign.

Shoot, I knew I had forgotten something! I actually found most of those stills a week or so ago and I wanted to put them in our gallery. Thanks for posting them, Larry.

Also, here's a link to the MySpace page they created for Sean's character Travis: http://www.myspace.com/travis_breaux He also has a Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/people/Travis-B … 0384321450

Re: "High School" World Premiere at Sundance Film Festival

Look at Mr. S. Marquette, all grown up:

Sundance_2010_01.jpg

There's more beautiful Sean images from Sundance on WireImage and Getty, but Getty changed their thumbnail system, so that I can't remove the watermarks anymore. Boo! I may have another way of getting those images to you, though. Let's see if that works out. In some of the pictures, Sean looks like the spitting image of his big bro, it's very uncanny. They have the same laugh!

Re: "High School" World Premiere at Sundance Film Festival

There should also be Sundance "portraits" available on several movie sites by now.  Yahoo usually has them.  Sometimes the Sundace site has them.  I know the portratis for The Runaways are already all over the web.  wink

I didn't know that Mykelti Williamson was in High School.

I used to love that guy.  Until he was arrested for assaulting his wife.  Kinda took the shine off the peach for me.
