Re: Randomness

You know, there's really nothing like getting a good beer buzz on at work.  LOL!  How cool is it that at my new job, on Fridays (almost) everyone cracks a beer at the end of a day?  And the company buys!

Re: Randomness

That's cool, Deb.
I have, unfortunately, no news about my applications. At least the one company accknowledged that they received my stuff.

Re: Randomness

I just got back from a school trip, i had to share a room with a girl from a different school,  she was the roomate form hell. Another girl from my school wasin the room too, the girl from the different school, took my friends room key and hid it so she couldnt get inside the room. She was mean. She accused me and all the girls in my class of stealing her money.she was so judgemental. she said that all the girls in my class and me were all hicks and we had annoying country accents. Mine isnt very noticiable. I got fed up and told her she was a hick, she was from western kentucky so her accent was really strong.

Jeebus.  I was looking at my house on Google Street View and then I tried to swing around to look at Dave's.  I strayed up in the air and saw this weird image they captured...

Re: Randomness

Awesome, moon!
I graduated high school on Wednesday. I was supposed to graduate last semester but I moved to Georgia in the middle of a semester and this semester I had two classes. I'm so relieved to be finished!

Congratulations!
As for me, it feels great to be back online - but only for the weekend - since Cooper is still not back. I miss him so much! sad

Re: Randomness

I can't believe that I'll have to spend Christmas without Cooper. He's been away for two weeks now, that's the longest time I ever had to be without him since my dad gave him to me in 2007.
And yes, I realize I sound like I'm talking about a pet or a family member although he's 'just' a computer. I hope they'll fix him after christmas so I'll have him back before New Year's Eve. Which I am going to spend alone again. roll

Congrats Mel, will you get to go through the ceremony in the spring?

No. I was supposed to graduate this past May. I could've walked then at the graduation ceremony but decided not to. I'm class of 2009.

I've been doing my own Lost marathon, starting with seaosn one and working my way up.  Trying to get rebbed up for the new season!

30 STM songs you HAVE to get are: The Kill, I'll Attack, The Story, From Yesterday and A Beautiful Lie.... I love pretty much EVERYTHING by them but those are my top 5 favorites wink They have 3 albums out now... Thier Self-titled - 30 Seconds To Mars, A Beautiful Lie (my favorite out of the 3.. if you're just going to buy one this should be it!) and their new one This Is War... which litteraly just came out.... really really good from what I've listened to so far and i love the new song Kings & Queens.. LOL

OK.. there's my 2 cents.. LOL.. if you like 30 STM you might want to check out Cheville too wink (The Red and The Clincher are my 2 favorites by them wink )

Hope that helps!!

So I went to karaoke last night.. had a freakin blast!! Ended up singing 3 times.. lol.. started the night off with Champagne Supernova by Oasis, then did Why Not Me and Have Mercy by the Judds.. I haven't had that much fun in ages.. been walking around singing GoodBye Earl by the Dixie Chicks all morning though.. lol... *sings* "It didn't take them long to decide... that Earl had to die!" LMAO

Catch ya'll later! Hope everyone is having a great holiday season!!

*huggles*
~Moon~

Re: Randomness

I love the first two 30STM albums, but not so much their latest album. None of their songs really struck a chord with me, and somehow the album is nothing like the other two. I can't even really say why, but I think it's not enough Rock for me and too much weird stuff that's not really a "clean" rock or rock-like song. Or whatever genre you would put the first two albums in. I also like songs that have proper lyrics, and not just weird choir chants. Sometimes you have to listen to an album multiple times before you start appreciating it, but I have a feeling that the new 30STM album doesn't fall in that category for me.

Lately I've been listening a lot to Billy Talent. I even had tickets to see them live in November, but that fell through because of Lars' slipped disk. Since I didn't wanna go alone, I sold the tickets.

Re: Randomness

I had the night from hell and today's not much better.  Casey's puppy is even more skittish now than he was 4 months ago.  He should be better by now, not worse.  Last night when she got here to drop him off, he escaped.  She eventually got him back and got him in the house.  Then, he refused to go outside, so I picked him up and took him outside.  He's far too heavy for that and he wriggled and made me fall into the door frame.  I bruised my elbow and tore my lower back somehow.  Like to never got him back inside.  Then later, when I went to take him out for the last time, I took him out on a leash and when I was trying to go back inside with him, he slipped his collar.  That was it.  I could not get him back in the house.  That was about 11 PM last night.  I tried multiple times all night to get him back in, but he wouldn't come.  It was frozen over last night too.  Just really bad all around.  I got no sleep, my back is screaming and I didn't get him back inside till about half an hour ago, with Dave's help.  I tried to work from home, but it's even harder to do my job from home without all the info I need.  I can barely stand to sit in my chair.  I've had nothing to eat for about 22 hours.  I'm a mess.  sad

Here I was lamenting another year of working through the holidays.  But that sounds like such a bad experience, mine doesn't seem so bad.

Re: Randomness

I need to check the new 30STM album before I decide to buy it. In fact, I don't even know where to get the money for it. One of the applications I sent out earlier this month came back yesterday. Of course they rejected me, but I still tried. I just hope I'll find a job next year. *sigh*

Re: Randomness

GRRRRRRRR!!!  The little bugger got away from me again!  I'll be damned if I stay up all night trying to get him inside again.  What the hell am I supposed to do when treats, toys, cuddles, sleeping in a warm bed and utter devotion are not enough?  Guess he just enjoys running free in my backyard too much.
