Re: Randomness

Darn, that really is a doozie. Not too many great things happening here either. A friend of mine who is unemployed (and thus has basically zero spare money) realized yesterday that his car exhaust broke so that he couldn't drive out to my place today to celebrate New Year's with us. Thus he had to stay home by himself. And he doesn't really have the money to get the car fixed. Two of the three friends I had over tonight were also sick, one with the flu and one with a bad back. We still had a great time, playing Jenga and another (very long) board game called Talisman.

So, if I come down with the flu some time in the next few days, at least I'm gonna know who I got it from.

Happy New Year everyone! Since it's 3:40 AM now, I better crash. smile

Re: Randomness

Happy New Year to all of you!

I just finished reinstalling Cooper ... He needed 95 updates and it wasn't that easy to get them installed but - I MANAGED! And now I hope the blue screen won't return that soon. Phoo!
Tina, thanks for the info on ZoneAlarm, I'll check the internet what people have to say about using ZoneAlarm with Vista. And I swear - I am going to buy a new laptop if it's still not working right. I am sick of being nerve-wrecked because I'm paranoid of using Cooper in case the blue screen shows up again ... yikes

Re: Randomness

We crashed at abut 4 AM last night.  Got up around noon.  I was sleeping on the futon in Casey's fun room and Bodhi decided to sleep down there with me instead of upstairs with his mommies.  He tried repeatedly to wake me up by either kissing me, or by dropping one of his toys on my head.  I probably only got about 4 hours of sleep.  So when I got home, I took a three hour nap in my own comfy bed.  So I've only had about 3-4 hours of consciousness today myself.  Don't feel too bad.  LOL!

LOL! I was feeling under the weather yesterday too (and accomplished pretty much nothing). I only went to bed around 4:30 AM on New Year's night, and I'm always sluggish the next day when I go to bed after 2 AM. But isn't that what bank holidays are for? I didn't feel guilty at all for slouching all day. big_smile

Re: Randomness

I find it amusing that I would have been one of the first to celebrate the new year from this board. Time zones and such...It was really alot of fun. Just had a relative quiet one. Few beers with mates and bedtime by about 3. So I would have carked it before most of you had even started the countdown haha. Been a very lazy weekend. Enjoying it thoroughly...sorry to hear others havent had such a good time, hope it all picks up for you all in the new year smile *cuddles, kisses and love to everyone*

Re: Randomness

Dude, earlier, for like 2-3 hours, my vision was blurry. I couldn't read my computer screen through my newish glasses in my normal place in my chair.  It was so weird.  Nothing like that has ever happened to me before.  I could see through the bifocal part, but not the normal part.  I stopped reading online and watched TV for a while and now I can see perfectly fine.  WTF???

I wanna have a pet again. I miss my old cat. sad
Can't believe it's going to be a whole year next month. It's a shame that my apartment is too small for any pets. *sigh*
My brother recently moved and his cat run away, but it's his own fault. She managed to get out of the new house somehow and when he saw her outside he DECIDED TO CARRY THE LAST PACKAGING CASE FIRST and when he went back outside she was gone. Hello??? How dumb do you have to be? roll

Re: Randomness

Okay, this sucks. I just found out that I can't make the DVD drive of my new laptop region-free. Meaning that I can only buy Blu-ray DVDs with a European region code, and they always come out months after the US ones, and sometimes they don't come out at all, depending on the movie, of course. And here I was looking forward to making us hi-res caps of Chris in the future. sad

Oh well, I will probably end up buying a Blu-ray writer for my desktop PC in a year or two, so maybe then I'll be able to make this happen. It's not like we have any Chris movies coming out on Blu-ray in the next year anyway.

Re: Randomness

So there's this guy Chris that I had a few classes with in high school. Well he was texting me and wanted to know if I was single. I told him I have a boyfriend and he said he only believes in friends with benefits. Then he was like I want to sleep with you. I told him I didn't cheat and that I'd only sleep with someone I love. He then told me to break up with  my boyfriend. I told him that I wouldn't do that unless he cheats on me. I haven't actually told my boyfriend yet but I told my best friend, Lysa and she told him off. I hate it when guys hit on you when your taken. It's like 'what type of girl do you think I am'? Sorry for the long rant. I just needed to vent.

I agree, Deb.
My mom works with his dad and his dad is a pastor of a church. I told my mom all about what he said and she told me to never talk to him again.

You gotta watch out for those PK's (preacher's kids).  They're often the wildest people you will ever meet.  I know because my best friend is one.
