Re: Graduation

I'll wait if Chris L. answers. If I make wallpapers, it would be great to know if I can upload them too. If not, just let me know what you'd like and I'll make you a custom one. Well, I can make one anyway. E-mail me, you know where to find me.

I'm more interested in your ideas for wallpapers.  I'll just wait and see what you come up with when you tackle it.

Re: Graduation

Interesting trivia for you, Deb: Chris L. was born and raised in Atlanta, GA. smile I mentioned in my e-mail that we met Chris M. when I was in Atlanta. But that was before I read he was born there. Well, let's see if he comments on that, if he writes back.

Found something else where someone met Chris during the Graduation shoot.

Don't know if these external links will work, but if not, click on the links above and you'll see the pictures:

This is the website of the woman whose page I found the pictures on: http://www.clarahinton.com I'll give her a shout and ask to share her Chris story. Could be her daughter(s) on the Chris photos. And she also said she was an extra on Graduation, as were Steph and Alex (the girls in the photos). Still not sure if they're her daughters.

Re: Graduation

I went to MySpace and looked for the search term "chris marquette". Came up mostly with teenagers saying how hot he is or who have him on their "people I want to meet" list (and I couldn't help but gloat by thinking, Na na na na na na, I have met him! tongue), but I did stumble across this one entry by Clara that had a link to her photo page.

Re: Graduation

You're both very welcome.

An observation that leads to speculation on my part: Somehow it looks like Chris wasn't dressed up for a shoot in those pictures. His hair isn't all spiky, like it is when he's playing Carl. There's the eyebrow piercing, of course. We're pretty sure that was real because he had it in one of the Huff episodes too. But when you look at the bigger picture with the two girls, I can't spot an ear piercing. So it might have been a fake for Graduation, even though we established that he had one just in that spot when he was a teen. And it looks like he hasn't shaved. Okay, yes, I admit I'm looking at these photos in way too much detail. tongue

And why is the woman in the background wearing a pait of shorts that goes with Chris's t-shirt? wink

And how weird is it that we didn't hear anything at all about Gradution for over a year, and then, suddenly, in two months we find a trailer online and tons of pictures of him when he was shooting the movie? Not that I'm complaining! I think we have hit a Graduation mine or something. Keep it coming, whoever's out there and making this stuff fall into our laps.

Re: Graduation

My guess is this is early in the morning, set-ups are still going on.  He just got there, maybe his hair's still a little wet from his morning shower and he hasn't gone to hair, make-up and wardrobe yet.  But maybe the folks who were actually there can tell you what's really going on.  Where they're standing reminds me a lot of that area on the Nerds set that we kept watching people come into from base camp.  Sort of holding area before the actors actually go onset.  The tall guy has a headset.  He's probably one of the PA's or maybe even the Production Coordinator.

Re: Graduation

Chris Lowell just answered my e-mail. We're still in negotiation about adding the pictures from his site to our gallery. It'll largely depend on Chris M. now because Chris L. said he wanted to ask him first if he wants the smoking picture up in the gallery on a fansite. Hehe, how cool is that? And Chris L. was very impressed with the website. And if I may quote Chris L.: " I agree that Chris is one of the nicest people. He has a very good soul."

Agreed.

His e-mail was lovely, he seems like a really nice guy. Can't wait to see him on screen in Graduation either. I also like Shannon Lucio from what I've seen of her, Riley Smith of course too, from JoA. This movie has a great cast. If the movie holds what the cast promises, it's gonna be great. Please let it go to DVD soon! (Chris L. also said his best guess was that it'd rather go to DVD than to the theaters.)

Re: Graduation

Here's a Riley Smith article that talks about the movie:

'GRADUATION' DAY
Thursday, February 22, 2007
By: Rob Owen, Post-Gazette TV editor

"Graduation," the movie that filmed in locations around Western Pennsylvania in the summer of 2005, may finally see the light of day.

Actor Riley Smith ("24"), who stars in the film about high school seniors who scheme to rob a bank during their graduation ceremony, said he saw the completed film in January for the first time and that producers will try to shop it at film festivals and garner a theatrical release.

"It looks great," he said. "As I told the director, I was pleasantly surprised. Normally if you haven't seen a movie in a year and a half, you wonder what happened, what was wrong. But it was actually really good."

If the festival circuit doesn't work out, the movie could always be released direct-to-DVD, but Smith said the success of the young cast may make the movie of greater interest to a distributor. Riley is starring in the upcoming Fox road race TV show "Drive," co-star Christopher Lowell is a series regular on The CW's "Veronica Mars," Chris Marquette ("Joan of Arcadia") appeared in the film "Alpha Dog" and Shannon Lucio ("The O.C.") recently wrapped a role opposite Greg Kinnear in the movie "Feast of Love."

"We all keep in touch to this day because of that," Smith said, noting that filming outside of Hollywood can draw a cast closer together.

"I remember when we checked into the William Penn in Downtown and they said, 'You'll be staying with us 67 nights,' or something crazy like that. To stay in a hotel anywhere away from home for 67 nights is rough, but it's one of those things where we were in Downtown and Downtown closes at, like, 5 p.m., and there's nowhere to eat, so basically we gathered in [one of the cast member's] rooms every night, ordered room service and bonded. It was a unique experience."

Source: www.riley-smith.net

So if they really go for the festivals, who knows when the movie's actually gonna come. Probably not before the end of the year in the US, if in 2007 at all. Man, what is it with all of Chris's movies taking ages until release? Go put it on DVD already!!! PLEASE!!!

And, wait a minute, Riley is on 24???? Since when? I need to start watching that show again.

Re: Graduation

Here's some more news that's only peripherally related to Chris M. Chris Lowell scored a spot on Grey's Anatomy:
Chris Lowell is the latest to join ABC's potential Grey's Anatomy spinoff; Lowell is set to guest star in the two-hour season finale of the show designed to serve as a springboard for a potential spinoff from the hit medical drama.

Cool! My favorite show!! Well done, Chris!

And here's Mr. Lowell on the road with his band "Two Shots For Poe":

1215752459_l.jpg

1215750360_l.jpg

You can listen to their music on their MySpace. Question for Mr. Lowell: Contact lenses in Graduation? Guess so, since he's wearing glasses here. Why would anyone wear glasses when they can wear contacts? Something I've never understood, but maybe I'm lucky to not have any problems with my contacts unless hay fever's really bad...

Then here's the MySpace page of the score composer for Graduation. You can listen to some of the music from the movie there:
