Re: Randomness

Could it be carpal tunnel from typing or using the mouse? The other day my left upper arm hurt without apparent reason too, but that went away after two days.

Re: Randomness

What I may have done is exacerbate my carpal tunnel badly, yes.  I felt a kind of pop.  And now I can't turn my wrist in certain directions without pain.  But far worse pain than normal carpal tunnel. So what scares me is that I may have torn something, or it could be a tiny stress fracture.  It hurts THAT bad.  The brace was making it worse.  I just bought an ACE bandage at the store and that feels much better.  But picking up groceries, pushing the cart, loading and unloading, putting them away, even using a knife and fork on my lunch just about killed me.

Re: Randomness

You know I said I wasn't leaving the house this weekend, but I had to take some rubbish out, so I actually went outside and then I had to learn that the cover of my trash can was covered with a huge pile of snow and underneath it was frozen.

Sometimes cold weather makes achees and paines worse.  My knee that I had surgery on always swells or aches when it is rainy or cold.  Weird reactions but its known to happen to others too.  Put a heating pad or hot towel around it for ten minutes.  Heat is better for pain where as cold is better for reducing swelling.  Hope you feel better!

Work on Sundays should not be allowed - granted its just for a few hours but its always hard to get the energy to go.

Hope the snow lightens up for you guys Samsy!

Re: Randomness

The cold played hell with my "Domino's" knee last week so I know all about old injuries hurting worse in cold weather.  This is something else. :-(

Re: Randomness

Seeing as though there is alot of mention of weather at the moment I thought I would add my two cents in. Today is the hottest so far for this year. Thank god for air con at work. The predicted top is 43C or 109.4F (according to the website). It was already over 41C or over 105F by midday. You guys are all stuck in snow and its sweltering down here!

P.S. I just realised after I posted that yes its only been 11 days so far this year! Well I am fairly sure its the hottest since last summer anyway....

Re: Randomness

Week ago I was freezing. it was below -30c.. hrrr... sad I hate the cold and snow. Now it's -13c and looking like this http://alk.tiehallinto.fi/alk/kelikamer … 51701.html At least it's not that cold anymore, the air-source heat pump didn't work. It can't be used below -25c. It's our additional heating. Last week Janne actually had to make fire in the fireplace. We don't usually keep fire in it, because it doesn't heat very much; but it did make it a bit better now.

I'm feeling kinda low today. Hubby had his 30th bd saturday and his brother wanted to get me drunk so I'd be less quiet. Well, he got his wish... I don't remember ever being that noisy, drunk or not. It was only my forth time drinking wine. I guess I'm still finding my limits with that one.. I really don't like being drunk and I'm super embarressed now. And still kinda hangover. I don't get hangover easily, and even though I drank a lot of water during that night, I drank even more yesterday. And my belly went awry when I ate. I guess it was a mistake to make that soup for me... I'm also low because my oldest friend is low. She just told me her idiot on/off-boyfriend of ten years left her again, broken to pieces and just before their wedding. I just want to beat that guy up.. ugh!

I'm sorry about your accident TJ! I hope you're okay. Terrible things... I hope you'll catch a break and get lucky with the car and new car...

Re: Randomness

Did I really stay up until 4am to watch Jackson Rathbone playing a scizophrenic serial killer? I did! I did! And it was actually a pretty cool performance, even though it was dubbed.

Nope, not too lucky. The repair will cost about 2000 EUR. Using my insurance, it will likely end up costing me about 800 EUR. It's annoying, but it could be worse. I won't have a car for a week since it's in the shop now, which also kinda sucks, but I don't have anything planned this week or weekend.

My mom called me this morning to tell me that one of the hikers that went missing in the Allgaeu area is the son of one of her friends ... I'm so shocked. I mean, he wasn't exactly a friend of mine, but I still know him ...
