It's pretty sad how financing has dried up. But more people with an arts focus getting into it and cheaper distributions streams are wonderful twists. Add in viral marketing, which is virtually free, and this new paradigm could save indie film...

We should start our own production company.

And we'd only cast Chris in all our male leads! :dancing:

Crazy to think that even with the name "Scott" production companies put him through the hoops. Its a crazy industry. I hope financially things get better for everyone, but especially independent films need to be supported. They shut down AFI Dallas because of finances, and only re-open it when the festival is back. Which, I don't know if it even came this year.

Yeah, that's why it pisses me off to no end that Hollywood funds fewer and fewer films every year, but throws bigger and bigger budgets at them. I really kinda hate the film industry. Which is why I don't often regret that I quit trying to break into it. Film execs are the most vile, disgusting excuses for human I've ever encountered.
