Hrrr. -32c here today; that's almost the same in Fahrenheit too. Craziness. I want spring already! Warmth! godemmett.. I woke up with a sore throat again, difficulty to swallow. Not fun. I don't think it's a flu, I'm getting cold every frigging day. Lovely.

Positive things.. This week my daughter learned to play "Twinkle twinkle little star" on piano. So proud of her. She can play it from her memory too, not needing the notes. Not really a hard song, but the longest one so far. I'd say that's pretty good after a couple of times of playing it, especially since she missed her piano classes the two previous weeks. The kids have been more good than evil this week. I guess that's a plus too. I wish it got warmer so we could play outside. it's been sunny but cold. I'd love to go out in the sun and fresh winter air...if it weren't too cold to breath.

Gah, I'm so sick of Olympics, especially hockey. Finns are going nuts over how badly we're doing and other worldly people are tweeting their own craziness. I couldn't care less. My childhood memories revolved around sports on TV. It was ALWAYS too loud and ALWAYS on if there was ANY sports on. The Olympics just always made it that much crazier. And I really don't get why some people *coughMENcough* have to get so damn aggressive over something so dumb. I like to watch hockey or soccer or other team games for a while IF it's not too loud and people don't go crazy over them. I don't like too much noise. it hurts my ears. Gawd, I'm old!

Haha at least you guys are winter orientated enough that you can watch your countries win. Australians have no real idea. They are showing us qualify cos thats all we are really doing at the moment. Though I really should mention Dale Begg-Smith (was Canadian anyway HAHA) won silver and that was touted enough. Thank god for Torah Bright winning gold. HAHAHA Though my favourite olympian is still from last winter olympics, Steven Bradbury. HAHAHA Our first winter gold medal and he only won because he was coming last enough in the final that when everyone in front of him fell over he was able to avoid them. Makes me smile. AND it created a catch phrase "do a Bradbury" where you win because everyone else stuffs up!

My friend in southern Finland just posted this on his FB. Thought you guys might like it. That's all the snow in his backyard. The measuretape says 90cm, which is about 3feet. All of this winter's snow packed in so tight it looks like a wall!
