Re: Misc Stuff

I don't like those actors either, particularly Wilson.  But they're not annoying in this one.  In fact, Wilson kept reminding me of Jake Weber as Joe on Medium.  And that made him tolerable to watch.  McSteamy's in the movie too.

Of course Sofia was great, too. I just didn't mention that in my post. It's just that I love Abigail's performances since I saw her in Little Miss Sunshine. I know it's weird but it's the truth. LOL wink

Apparently, NBC is trying to move Leno back to late night.  And they've ordered a bunch of pilots to refill 5 nights of 10 PM.  Somebody's agent needs to get busy lining up auditions for this BONUS PILOT SEASON!

Re: Misc Stuff

Heh.  Tonight's ep of Bones is called The X In The Files and it's about a supposed alien body. Dean Haglund, who played Langley of The Lone Gunmen on TXF is in it.  And so is Dale Dickey, who was in Speech & Debate, the play TeeJay, Anne and I saw in LA.  This is too much fun!

Re: Misc Stuff

I know a lot of you are My So Called Life fans, so you probably have some appreciation for Claire Danes.  She just pulled off an amazing performance in HBO's Temple Grandin, playing someone I've admired for many years.  I've mentioned her before.  Dr. Grandin is autistic, but she went to college and got earned her degrees.  She revolutionized the beef industry with her gift for understanding what upsets domestic animals.  Might sound gross to admire someone who helped an industry slaughter animals, but you just have to see what she did.  She made the whole process less painful for these creatures.  She believes that for their sacrifice, they deserve our respect.

Oh wow, I didn't know Claire Danes was going to play Temple Grandin. This looks interesting. I've heard so much about this woman, so the movie is very interesting to me. I'd really like to see it.

Hmmm.  Interesting, tonight's ep of Parenthood, featuring Mae Whitman was directed by Tommy Schlamme.  He's married to Christine Lahti, who played Mae's mom on Chicago Hope.

Re: Misc Stuff

I just saw the coolest, creepiest thing!  Lee Tergeson is guesting on SVU tonight.  I guess it was inevitable.  But they concocted a scene that put him forehead to forehead, in a weird clinch with Chris Meloni.  I think they were totally screwing with the heads of Oz fans --- particularly Beecher/Keller fans like me.  LOL!  Dick Wolf does have a sick, sly sense of humor.

Re: Misc Stuff

Probably.  I'm betting most everyone else has no idea what it is.  I've seen several scenes from it and it's just not my kind of movie.  Too over-the-top silly for my taste.

Re: Misc Stuff

Alice won't beat Avatar.  I predict it'll fall off next weekend by about 50%.  It will do well, but it won't have the staying power of Avatar.

Re: Misc Stuff

Strangely enough, I don't have any interest in Alice. I have seen the trailer countless time, it ran in front of every 3D showing of Avatar I've seen. And it didn't capture my interest the first time, and not any time after.
