Who didn't see that coming?

Even though I kind of expected it, it's still very sad. You only needed to watch a single ep of the Two Coreys (or whatever it was called) to see that he was doomed because he had no desire to clean up. He was a great kid actor, just sensational. Becoming a teen star is what destroyed him.
The really weird thing is, I was just thinking about The Lost Boys on my way into work today. This takes a lot of the fun of that film right out of it...

I keep hearing that he died at "the Oakwood apartments" ... someone please tell me that's not the location we were staying at while we were in LA. It's freaking me out, sorry.
I hugged the Seeker!

No, his mom's apartment was in Burbank. We were in Marina del Rey. Oakwood has several complexes in LA.

A statement from Feldman about Haim...
"I was awakened at 8:30 this morning by my brother and sister knocking on my bedroom door. They informed me of the loss of my brother Corey Haim. My eyes weren't even open all the way when the tears started streaming down my face. I am so sorry for Corey, his mother Judy, his family, my family, all of our fans, and of course my son who I will have to find a way to explain this to when he gets home from school. This is a tragic loss of a wonderful, beautiful, tormented soul, who will always be my brother, family, and best friend. We must all take this as a lesson in how we treat the people we share this world with while they are still here to make a difference. Please respect our families as we struggle and grieve through this difficult time. I hope the art Corey has left behind will be remembered as the passion of that for which he truly lived."
Made me cry.

Very compassionate statement. I like how Feldman mentions how we should treat others in the world while they are still here. Very true. Very sad to see him gone.
