Yeah, both girls and Joan Jett are all over TV next week. I will not watch Leno. Period. And Kristen is terrible in interviews, so I can't say I care much. I'm also so pissed off about the release getting staggered that I'm kinda sour on the whole thing right now.

Three more weeks is better than not knowing if the movie will ever play in your area ... I mean, I guess it's coming to Germany, but for me it's about hoping that it'll make its way to my theatre, too, because otherwise I'll have to wait until the DVD comes out and then look for a good deal on cd-wow.

Not the point. If the release had been structured this way from the get-go, no problem. What pisses me off is that Apparition has officially wimped out. They got scared because there's a tiny bit of ridiculous controversy over the fact that SOME people think Dakota's too young to play a character EXACTLY HER AGE, who really did all those things in real life that she's PRETENDING to do in the movie. It's just like when TWC got nervous about the cancer plot in Fanboys and started their campaign to destroy the movie. Well, word leaked out that more drastic cuts were being made to water The Runaways down. And yesterday, someone we've been talking to worked on the movie went to a cast and crew screening and confirmed that at least 10-15 minutes of stuff had been cut. I'm actually shocked that they didn't totally cave to pressure and try to cut it down to a PG-13. After all, their OFFICIAL rationale for staggering the release is that it's "not your typical Dakota Fanning movie." Guess what, marketing genius, it's not "a Dakota Fanning movie" at all. And only a complete idiot would try to sell it as such.

Yeah, that's different, I see. So they cut the movie to make it PG-13? That sucks. That sucks pretty much. And hey, I never thought of the movie as a "Dakota Fanning movie", typical or not. What's that anyway? I hate when people typecast actors. And hey, isn't it a little too late to get scared because "she might be too young to play it"? Why did they cast her then? Oh well. I guess we'll never understand why they do such things.

They didn't cut it that drastically, no. I said I'm surprised they didn't go that far since they're getting cold feet at the last minute. And now they're getting worried about the fact that they're pissing the fans off too. We suddenly have a PR person from the movie on IMDb trying to tell us how to feel about the panicked change in the scheduled release. She can kiss my ass. No one has the right to tell me how to feel about this stupidity.

Read my post again. This is not a "listing". It's the whole entire soundtrack. You can D/L all the songs. I listened to all the Kristen & Dakota recordings last night and they're really good. I think Dakota's version of Cherry Bomb is a little weak, but the other three songs are great. Queens of Noise was stuck in my head all night. Kept waking up still hearing it.

"Sountrack leaked in its entirety" didn't mean anything? I thought most people online knew what D/L means, sorry. I was tring to be subtle so people wouldn't freak that I was linking to an "illegal download". Then I found out last night, it's not illegal. Apparition meant for it to get out. They're now advertising it on the Runaways Facebook page.

Well, to me it meant that the names of the songs made their way to the internet, like I found it on Gossis Cop the other night. They didn't have download links. And sorry but I hadn't heard about that "D/L" thing before. I'm not that aware of internet language. It even took me some time to figure out what "w/" means.
Anyway, the music's great, I'm defintely going to buy the soundtrack. What sucks for me is that the downloads link to .flv files ... that's not good for my mp3 player but maybe I'll find out how to convert them somehow.

I didn't download the songs. I just played them on that website in their FLV player and had no trouble. I'm leery of D/Ls now because I recently got spanked by a nasty virus from a Torrent.

I'll have to wait to check out the stuff on Collider when I get home. Is the Cherry Bomb "music video" one of the clips?
