A big happy birthday to him.  He deserves one after the fantastic year in movies he had this year!

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

You know what just occured to me? That guy who plays Make-Out Dave in Up In The Air is called Adam Rose. Didn't Chris tell us back in LA he has a friend called Adam Rose? I knew I had heard that name before when I read it in the credits Friday night. LOL

Emile was on to talk about his trip to Kilimanjaro, on behalf of the organization founded by Chris McCandless's family.  Can't remember the name of it.

Funny or Die have released a mock trailer for a Weird Al Yankovic life movie, in which Mary Steenburgen appears in.

That's really funny.  Olivia Wilde is also in it, as Madonna.  She was in Alpha Dog.

Yeah, I'm a big Gary Cole fan too.  It was a total hoot.  Did Al make it?  He's in it, so I assume he had something to do with it...

I have a bad feeling about this version of Parenthood, which I didn't find as entertaining as the first telly incarnation of the movie. That said, I just watched the first episode a few weeks back, and will more than likely be watching V tonight.

At a certain part in your life. Probably when too much of it has gone by. You will open your eyes and see yourself for who you are. Especially for everything that made you so different from all the awful normals.

I saw the pilot for Parenthood. It was pretty ok. Had potential. I've just forgotten to watch the rest... :embarrassed:

I've been liking Parenthood so far.  And it made me happy to see Jason last night. Looks like he's going to be around for 1 or 2 more episodes at least!

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Oh, that's awful!  I just found out my stepmom broke her arm too and will have to have surgery.  She's 85.  Really rough for her.  I'm so glad you're doing better!

Re: In Praise of Chris's Colleagues

Stepmom, Mel.  I only correct that out of respect for my real mom.  She passed away in '03.  I actually have serious issues with my stepmom and haven't seen her in several years.  I just feel bad that she's hurt and stuck in the hospital, ya know?  It's kinda hard for me, but I'm gonna go see her Sunday.
