Well, something is supposed to happen on 4/23. I'm hoping for the cable TV roll-out. Although if they do it through Comcast, I'll have to find someone to record it for me. I have Charter cable and when IFC did the promo with American Gun, it was Comcast exclusive.

Shit! LDW may have been pushed back from 4/23 to 8/9. Variety says it will screen in NYC on that date.

This on top of the news about The Runaways?

You do catch a glimpse of Chris in the trailer, but he has no dialogue. Still, it's a scene other than the one with Bill & Billy, so maybe this is why he had to go back and shoot more stuff. Looks like Billy's with his family in church. It gives a pretty good feel for the movie.

Got to say the movie looks like it will be just like "Happiness"...Depressing. And his haircut fits right into the tone of the movie.

According to Larry, IFC will indeed be simultaneously releasing LDW on Comcast On Demand on 4/23. Woohoo! Now we just need someone with Comcast, a DVR and time on their hands. LOL!

Interesting that comcast would have it on demand and not one of the bigger servers like AT&T. I use to have comcast right out of college but my area switched to only serving AT&T for contracting purposese. Grr. Thank you for the screencap this movie looks very interesting!.

Apparently, it's also released in the UK in cinemas (limited) and on pay TV (Sky) on April 23.

The film will be released in at least 10 cinemas across the UK from 23rd April, on the same day it will be available on Sky Box Office for two weeks only.
Philip Knatchbull, CEO of Curzon Artificial Eye said: "We are extremely pleased to continue our strong partnership with Sky Movies by simultaneously releasing Life During Wartime in local cinemas and home cinema from April 23.
"There are many people who won't or can't go to see a film on its release in cinemas, but by paying the same price will be able to see that film, day and date, in the comfort of their own home.
"At the same time Sky's cross-platform promotion of the film will provide greater awareness for those who might like to see it in a cinema but who otherwise might not have been aware of it. We see this as a great model for the future distribution of smaller independent films."

Yeah, welcome to my word. But, well, not that this is good news for me either. I wouldn't know how to make use of the UK release since I'd have to know someone with Sky and a DVR. My only chance might be if the German Sky chose to air it in English at some point because my friend Anja has the German version of Sky (previously called Premiere). However, she only has a VCR and not a DVR, so I'd get it on tape. My DVR just broke, so I don't know if I could convert it to DVD, but I'm hoping they'll fix my DVR since it's still under warranty.

It's gonna come out on DVD at some point, right?

I was just recording a movie on IFC the other night. I don't know if its a special promotion or if its permanent but I will definately record Life During War Time if it comes up there at the end of the month.

I can't really say I'm crying on the inside over the delay. I already knew I wouldn't be able to see it in theaters. And after having watched Happiness, I'm not sure just how keen I should be on watching LDW. Of course I'm looking forward to the Chris part, but I'm not the fast-fowarding type. I wanna see the whole movie at least once to understand what it's about and why Chris might have chosen to play that role.

It just makes me sad that this is the last unreleased project of Chris's that was still on the backburner. After LDW, it's gonna be a looooong wait for the Dorquettes. Unless he gets a TV role fairly soon. Wouldn't that be cool?
