Hey, I'm watching Sean's ep of In Plain Sight right now and it looks like he's got a pretty good sized part. And Donnie Wahlberg's his dad??? Wow. I'm only up to the credits but you guys should definitely check it out. It's on ninjavideo.net in excellent quality.

I didn't know it was airing this week either. I wasn't even sure I was right about seeing Sean in the commercial, it was so quick. I asked him about it on his Facebook page, but he never answered. So I kinda forgot about it. Then I was just sitting here and thought to check IMDb to see if it had been added to his credits. It had. So then I checked Ninjavideo to see if they had it and they did, so I watched it. I posted about it as soon as I found it and started watching it, and you saw my post within a half hour of it going up.

Sean did an excellent job in this one, as did Donnie Wahlberg. Loved it, even though I had never seen or heard of the show before.

I think to understand, you need to know that the show is about two US Marshals who work for the Witness Security program. In this episode, Nicky (= Sean) and his dad (= Donnie Wahlberg) are protected witnesses who were given new identities and a new life, and now a crime is coming back to haunt them.

Screencaps will follow, haven't gotten round to doing them yet.

Witness Protection Program, is what it's called. And I think most Americans are familiar enough with it to have no trouble understanding the show. I think I'd probably like it if I gave it half a chance. The characters are quirky and cool and the writing, especially the dialogue is really good. But I still can't believe Donnie Wahlberg's old enough to play Sean's dad. And for the record, Sean is clean-shaven in the flashback so we get fuzzy Sean and non-fuzzy Sean all in the same ep. LOL!

I checked, Donnie was born in August '69 (<sings> In the summer of '69....), so if Sean was supposed to be around 20 on the show, his dad must have been just around that age when he had Nicky. Not impossible, but still quite young. Maybe the mom was older. We don't know, we never saw her, did we?

I wrote Witness Security because they used the abbreviation WitSec on the show, which is where I guessed it came from. But of course Witness Protection works too.
