Re: Randomness

yikes Yeah, crazy! Absolutely everything wrong with that. You need to tell her parents, seriously. She needs to have that abortion and get rid of the drugs, put her life back together. Her parents aren't gonna see it them selves unless it gets thrown at their face in all it's ugliness. Parents are like that: they look at their teenage kids and see the little hints of trouble but they don't want to believe anything really bad is going on so the cheat themselves and betray their kids by letting it go by with lesser attention. Some even call it good parenting since they're trying to be the cool parents that don't interfier too much and thus get a friend-like relationship with their kids, trusting too much. works for some kids, not for all. You can actually use the word "save" when you think what you're doing for her. Or leave an anonumous message for her parents or something. Things are gonna get a lot scarier if you don't.
Oh, I'm not all for abortion, but if she's further than 8 weeks along the pregnancy, the kid shares her blood already and has been affected by the drugs. Lots of bad things can be happening in there... poor kids. both "mom" and baby...

---

Car trouble. Don't you have anyone you know who knows about fixing cars who could fix it for you with just the cost of the part? My hubs would totally do that for people we know if there was a warm place to do the fixing in. He's totally pissed at his workplace now, since on top all the other crap they're pulling, they now also say it's not allowed to bring his/friends' cars there after hours to work on anymore. And nobody we know has a warm carage. Thanks goodness it's almost summer.

---

Not much going on here. I've done all my whining in FB and twitter. :embarrassed: Had a bad flu last week but last night i got the huge ball of snot glogging my throat to move and it hurt lots less right away. Kinda weird. One moment it was too hurtful to say a word and next it was almost normal. What ever. Nice to be getting healthier. smile Gonna get back to my sports in a couple of days. The kids got the flu first, and they got antibiotics a week ago. After two days on the antibiotics, they were normal again. Normal being crazy wild little electric monkeys! lol yeah, I better start cleaning after them now...

Been there, done that. Well, only one wisdom tooth. It affects different people differently. I've had a swollen cheek for about a week, but I didn't have too much pain, so it was okay. Hope you're gonna do fine.

Re: Randomness

Hope you recover well, Mel. I had all 4 out only a few months ago. Swollen and bruised, but all in all not too bad. But the pain killers they prescribed me were fantastic. I only took about half of what they told me to though. They were strong enough like that! Hope the swelling doesnt last too long, and you dont end up with a thumb shaped bruise on your chin like me.... Get well soon

Re: Randomness

I had some wisdom teeth removed too. One was pulled, the other needed to be removed surgically. Surprisingly, the latter one was less terrible experience. And I got nice painmeds after that time. lol. The pain wasn't the worst part, but the disgusting taste of blood in my mouth for weeks. It made me wanna puke 24/7 but might be just my GERD talking...

Nice to see Sean here big_smile I love your FB posts. Everytime you make me smile, espcially the ones with your son smile Oh yeah, for some reason I always picture you in the darth vader costume. lol so dorq in pastic fits you nicely!

I'm sick and I'm not getting any better. I went to the doctor yesterday and I get to go to the doctor again tommorow. I was perscribed on antibotic even though the doctor said it was a viral infection in my throat and chest. She said that it could possibly turn into pneumonia.I have not been able to sleep since Saturday night because I'm coughing every 2 seconds.

Re: Randomness

I'm so sorry you're so sick, Hoopie.  I hope they figure out how to treat it and you turn the corner really soon.  Please keep us posted.  I've known so many people who've had pneumonia the last few years.  I think bad air makes it so much worse.  Take care of yourself.  ((((((hugs))))))

Re: Randomness

Get better soon hoops.

So the procedure was okay. I was really depressed on Friday morning going in. I had alot of paranoia. I really am happy its over now. When I was first in the operating room the dental assistant was rude to me. She was snappy and mean. People were poking and tugging on me. I had to have my blood pressure taken and a shot and then my mouth had the separater thing put into it so my mouth would stay open. I completely blacked out after that couldn't remember anything. I woke up and I was drugged out I could barely walk. My mouth was puffy and it hurt. I had stitches and slept most of the weekend. I had to have two ice packs in a sling put on my cheeks all weekend. My right cheek is still a little puffy and I have been taking pain medication everyday since the operation. I threw up on Friday and was in pain alot over the weekend. Wednesday I'm going back in to see the dentist so he can see my progress...

Re: Randomness

This is so sad to hear!!! Seems like everyone is sick right now

Hoops, I really really am annoyed with your doctor. If they diagnosed you correctly then they prescribed you incorrectly!! I HATE the way that doctors use antibiotics as a cure all option. Prescribe it way too freely, generally just so it looks like they are doing SOMETHING. Your antibiotics will likely protect you against further infection but thats about it. If it is viral, the antibiotics wont do anything to combat your condition. Seems to me like you need to rest and take care of your body and hope your immune system works like it should. If you start feeling worse though you should go see a different doctor. If you have a sore throat, I recommend tea with honey and lemon. Even if its only for a moment it just makes me feel SO much better when I have a sore throat. Also if you wanna kick up your immune system try echinacea (vitamin you should be able to get at the supermarket), garlic, anything high in vitamin C (so pretty much any citrus is good). I hope you feel better soon though!

Mel, that sounds very similar to my experience. Hahaha how funny do you look with the icepacks on your cheeks. My mum kept taking photos of me and my brother and giggling (we had ours out at the same time) One thing that I wish I had thought about before though, When you do start eating again, avoid anything salty or acidic!!! Ohhh that hurts and then you start bleeding again, not pleasant. It really is a hang in there and it will be alright soon situation.

Samsy..... sad Oh NO! Hospital?? Are you ok???

Re: Randomness

I went to another doctor today, she told me to finish my antibotic but that is not going to help. I was put on an other medicine. Sh told me that I could go to school tommorow, but I don't think I can. She told me that my lungs sounded bad. I told her several times that I had congestion, but she didn't listen to me.

Thanks, Deb and Kate. I'm feeling better than before but I still taste metal in my mouth every once in a while and some foods are hard to eat. I can't eat popcorn again for 5 and 1/2 weeks.

Relax, it's not that bad. I'm going to survive it. But thanks for caring. wink
Long story short, it seems like the abscess from last year is back. roll It's not as bad as it was last year yet, so I'm hoping to get over this with less pain that last year.

On other news I am probably going to have my left eye operated soon. I want to get rid of the strabismus. I mean, I was cross-eyed for basically all my life and am actually okay with it, but it's so annoying to get asked if I'm looking at people when I am not ... so if there is a chance to get rid of that problem I'll sure take it. That means one reason less for people to give me stares. LOL
At the moment I have to wear some kind of "prism foil" attached to my glasses, which is pretty annoying, but it's only for a week fortunately.
