I would watch it on cable on a lazy Saturday afternoon, but I know I won't pay eleven bucks to see it in a theater. The Coens have always been kinda of hit or miss in my opinion. When it's right, it's great. When it's not, whoa.

Saw Toy Story 3 yesterday. Lovely film and creates the questions; is there many trilogies with 3 fantastic films?

Lord of the Rings and Toy Story are the only 2 that come to mind. I'm sure there is probably more.

I did think of the Original Star Wars trilogy, but I know that Return of the Jedi isn't always looked upon as being up there with the first two.

I saw Predators recently. Pretty good movie. I still prefer the original Predator though.

The trilogy question is interesting because one will always be the weakest (has to be unless they are all equal), so the question is, is the weak one still worth watching outside of being part of the trilogy. For me, Toy story and the original star wars yes. Lord of the rings no (I really didn't like the second one, and I remembered while watching it I hadn't liked the second book either). Godfather definately not, first 2 great, 3rd one ugh. I will throw in here sergio Leone's "man with no name" trilogy where I think they are all good. We'll see if christopher Nolan can pull it off with his 3rd Batman movie (but history isn't on his side).

Why does it sound almost exactly like the early 70's series, The Rookies?

I guess cop-shows are making another big coming. so many again. everyone is trying to tap into that. I personally like Rookie Blue. Other law shows are creating a bigger buzz now too. makes TV kinda redundant. every show tries to make its own spin on things but when there's such an over-flow like this, I tend to go "meh" and look for shows that have nothing to do with the subject.
oops. well since we're in this thread: I'm kinda liking the new Hawaii five-O. How about you guys?
i'e never really seen the original, at least that I remember. Maybe I've seen an ep or two somewhere some time because the thememusic kinda sounds familiar.

Check out the official synopsis for Craig Gillespie's remake of the cult '80s horror/comedy 'Fright Night', starring Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell and David Tennant.
Senior Charlie Brewster (Anton Yelchin) finally has it all going on: he's running with the popular crowd and dating the most coveted girl in his high school. In fact, he's so cool he's even dissing his best friend. But trouble arrives when Jerry (Colin Farrell) moves in next door. He seems like a great guy at first, but there's something not quite right—but everyone, including Charlie's mom (Toni Collette), doesn't notice.
After observing some very strange activity, Charlie comes to an unmistakable conclusion: Jerry is a vampire preying on the neighborhood. Unable to convince anyone, Charlie has to find a way to get rid of the monster himself in this Craig Gillespie-helmed revamp of the comedy-horror classic.
Anton Yelchin? I'm in!
I haven't seen the original (I've seen fairly little amount of horror movies), but I do wanna see this now.

My parents watch Hawaii Five-O. They have all the seasons on dvd.
I too can't wait for that Anton Yelchin horror movie.

I'm a HUGE fan of the original, but I love the cast for this remake, so I'm definitely interested. Looking forward to seeing a trailer. I especially can't wait to see McEviLovin'! For those of you who are not hip to my jive, that means I'm looking forward to seeing Christopher Mintz-Plasse (McLovin) playing Evil Ed, one of the funniest/strangest movie characters ever. I highly recommend checking out the original and even its sequel. They're not really very scary or gory. They're horror-comedies.

I know, right? It's the "pre=sold" factor. I honestly believe that there's pretty much no way to get anything made anymore that's not pre-sold. But to be fair, let's talk about Parenthood. I had zero hope for that show when it was announced. Because of the first dismal attempt to adapt the film for TV I couldn't imagine why they would want to try it again. But I gave it a chance based on cast. And it's a really great show. You can tell because its ratings suck.
I do kind of get why Wild Wild West would be appealing right now. Steampunk is really popular among geeks so it will have that built-in audience. I was never a big fan of the original. I couldn't stand Robert Conrad for the longest time because of those obnoxious battery commercials he used to do. But then I fell in love with Baa Baa Black Sheep (aka Black Sheep Squadron) and finally grew to like the guy. So I finally developed an appreciation for WWW. I'm curious to see how this goes. But for me, as usual, it'll be all about the casting.
Anyone remember The Adventures of Briscoe County, Jr? Man, I'd love to watch that show again sometime.
