Re: I Write Like

Yeah, I tried it the other day. Apparently, I write like David Foster Wallace. I don't even know who that is...

Re: I Write Like

You also write like Margaret Atwood.  And so do I.  I tried it with a few chunks of Butterflies.  Three of my chapters got three different responses and I tried one of yours and got Atwood.  My favorite thing is that Pocket Rocket apparently seems like something the dude who wrote Fight Club would write.  lol

Re: I Write Like

I don't think either of you write like Margaret Atwood.  I always found her novels to be very depressing and with a very sour view of the world.  I always look forward to reading anything y'all have written.  I'd rather eat glass than re-read "The Handmaid's Tale".

Re: I Write Like

Yeah, it didn't make sense to me either.  It's a silly program.

Re: I Write Like

That sounds like an interesting site.
And the author of Fight Club is Chuck Palahniuk.

Yeah, I came up with that name twice too, Anne. I don't know who that is either.

Re: I Write Like

I just tried my short fanfiction I once wrote (You know, Adam's nightmare ...) and now it says David Foster Wallace, too.

Re: I Write Like

I've done this with a few of my fanfics- and they each brought up a different author... Margaret Atwood, James Joyce, Agatha Christie... apparently when I switch between fandoms I switch between styles haha!

new ones (i kept going): douglas adams, Arthur Clarke, Gertrude Stein

this is kinda wierd... every single one of my stories has a different "author" style...

Re: I Write Like

I don't think that program works exactly the way it claims to.  I've had different sections of the same fic generate different authors. LOL!

Re: I Write Like

it was so totally random! maybe it just means if you get more than one result that you have your own unique style because you're awesome? yeah, I'll go with that...
