Starring Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake, Rashida Jones, directed by David Fincher and written by Aaron Sorkin. It's about the founders of facebook - but not really a true story. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1285016/
Still seems interesting. I love David Fincher and Jesse Eisenberg so I'm definately interested in this movie. It's gotten alot of press so I wasn't sure how others were feeling about it! Any takers?

I'm definitely down. It's a Trigger Street movie, too. Just like Fanboys. This movie is so Chris-adjacent it kind of pisses me off that he's not in it. But I still wanna see it. Mainly because Mark Zuckerberg doesn't want us to.

:lol:I hear ya Deb! It's kind of rediculous. Plus the fact that Zuckerberg just gave $3million to the charter school program in New Jersey that's in the New "Waiting for Superman" documentary about the SEED schools. Both this movie and "Waiting for Superman" come out this weekend.
I didn't think about the Trigger Street connections but your soo right. It is kind of frusterating.

Head to Head: Jesse Eisenberg vs. Michael Cera
Offline
Yes, the two are quite similar. It's a tough call on who I like more, but I think as far as movies go - Jesse has been in more movies that I like. I like Cera too, but I prefer the comedies and movies that Eisenberg does. Although loved Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Think its Cera's best one yet besieds Arrested Development.
I'm excited to see this tomorrow. Lets hope expectations are met - I feel like I've seen previews and interviews so much that almost makes me concerned you know? It does have a 98% though on rottentomatoes.com which is pretty awesome!

The Social Network looks good. I am a huge fan of Justin Timberlake as a musician and as an actor!

Definately a great movie! Recommend it for anyone interested! Combination of Aaron Sorkin's writing and David Fincher directing plus a great ensemble cast, made out to be a really entertaining and interesting movie.

Carol told me over email today that she liked it. Once I pay bills, if I can afford $11 bucks, I'll go.

okay, this movie- I admit- I'm kinda embarrassed that I really want to see it! I'm not very big with facebook, but it looks like an interesting watch

Why would you be embarrassed? It's supposed to be great, one of the best movies of the year.

because when I was like "ooh I wanna see that" I got really disdainful looks from everybody! haha- my friends roll their eyes but put up with me when I'm like "but chris marquettes in it!" or "but, look- Baruchel!" but I couldn't even pull one of the "but '___' who I totally adore is it it!" arguments for this one...

I'm going back to my little movie theatre as soon as my foot is better, but I think I need to decide whether I want to see The Social Network or Eat Pray Love. I don't think I'll be able to watch both.

You should try to see both movies on the same day if you have the time, Anne, because that way you can save money.

Nice idea, but the thing is, I can't go as long as my foot isn't well enough and also, since it's only a small theatre, the movies might not be shown for a long time. I really miss my theatre and the staff there, and as much as I'd love to go, it's just not possible at the moment.

Samsy: I would honestly see the Social Network in theaters over Eat, Pray, Love. Visually Social Network is more exciting to watch on the big screen than Eat Pray Love. Eat Pray Love was good, but you could wait for it on dvd and I enjoyed the book more than the movie. I hope your foot gets better soon!

I did go see this again and enjoyed it even the second time around! caught a lot more as there was a brawl in the middle of the movie when I saw it the first time. Knew I shouldn't have gone to see it at that theater! Something always happens there. I actually enjoyed seeing it again, kept up with its speed and hype and I could focus on the dialogue more.
Happy watching everyone!

I forgot to mention this earlier, but I went to see the movie on Thursday night. At the beginning I wasn't sure if I made the right decision (had to decide whether to see Scot Pilgrim or The Social Network), but when the credits started rolling I thought I took the right movie. I quite liked it. Eisenberg was as great as always (although I had some problems to understand him at first) and I even liked this Andrew Garfield guy, whom I never saw before and only knew that he's going to be the new Spiderman (I think).
So, I'm going to wait for Eat Pray Love on DVD and then rent it since the last showing ever at my theatre is today and maybe I'm going to see Scott Pilgrim on Tuesday.
Oh, and as a bonus my Cinema People saved one of their Runaways posters for me and I was finally able to take it home with me. Yay! LOL

I know Andrew Garfield from a little indie called "Boy A". While I can't say I liked that movie a lot, I thought Andrew did a great job. Nice treat with the posters.

I just checked his imdb page and noticed I actually did see him before. He was in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, which I do not like at all. Oh, and I just watched the Trailer for Boy A. Need to check out the whole thing soon.

Boy A is just alright. They previewed that soooo many times in the theater and it was kind of a let down, but he is awesome in it. I recently saw him in "Never Let Me Go" with Kiera Knightly and Carrey Mulligan. Definately check out that movie instead. Its about organ donation. Really interesting movie. Great acting.
Scott Pilgrim is really great. I loved it, definately worth checking out in the theaters. It wins lots of points for creativity and for just being fun. Can't wait to see it again on dvd, I definately want to check out the comics. I'm really a nerd deep down.

I'm seeing Social Network on Sunday. I want to see Scott Pilgrim but its not playing anymore so I'm waiting for it to be at the $2 theater. Eat, Pray, Love is at the $2 theater and I'm going to see that soon. I can't wait for Saw 3D. I'm seeing it next Saturday!

Amazon is offering Boy A really cheap at the moment, so I might even buy it when I get my new money next week. I mean, it will be the German DVD of course, but I can still watch it in English. Not sure if I want to wait long enough to have it shipped from the US in December.

I hope to see Social Network soon. I saw the internet movie Catfish instead. Such a bizarre movie.
