Re: The Rite

Maybe he's one of the people posessed. That would be a cool role for him even if it were small. I'll bet he'd be awesome at that big_smile

Re: The Rite

Just saw the trailer, finally.  See, I think it looks awesome.  Maybe a little too scary for me, but I'm excited.  Personally, I'm kinda hoping Chris might be a young priest sent to the exorcism school.  It'd be cool to see him in priestly garb.

Re: The Rite

Horror is defintely not my favorite movie genre, but I've seen so many horror movies now, just because they feature people I like, so I think that one won't be that much of a problem. LOL

Re: The Rite

While we're in the horror genre.. I saw Ginger snaps the other day. Pretty awesome and cruesome. big_smile And the cuteboy-God of JOA was in it too. smile in a very cute, dorkable, younger version of Chris Lemche. I'm gonna check out the sequel and prequel soon too. They're about werewolves in a more Buffy-kinda style (weird half-human/half-monster-like creatures and slow wicked turning) than Twilight/Trueblood/VD-style (humans > POP! > real wolves).

Re: The Rite

Doesn't look like I'll be in L.A. afterall.  Anyways, the l.a. training was the week of the Rite opening.  Would have been cool to be there, and possibly see if time allowed for it.   but now I will be in New Orleans during mardis gras that will be crazy.   I went to school in Louisiana. they shut down colleges for the week so there are gonna be a bunch of chaotic people there. At least it will be interesting to people watch from afar.

I'm curious to see this movie anyway. Exorcism of Emily Rose is actually a favorite of mine and it feels it will be similar to that one.

Re: The Rite

New Orleans is great! Almost all of my relatives live there, all from my dad's side of the family anyway. Its really fun to visit but I couldn't see myself living there. My favorite cousins live there. I haven't been in awhile but I did celebrate Mardi Gras there at least once. I'm hoping to go back next summer.

I always wanted to visit New Orleans and one day I definitely will.
Oh, and by the way, I recently figured out what NOLA means all by myself! LOL big_smile

Re: The Rite

lol It took me a while to figure that out  too once I was there.  Also figuring out that by just saying "Tech" they did not mean Texas Tech as I thought all freshman year, it was "louisiana Tech." I found that out at our first basketball game against them!  lol
New Orleans should be fun. I went to college in Shreveport and have some friends there that I might be able to get in touch with.  If not it won't be a big deal smile Nice to get a way for a while, even for training.  I hear even the training is helpful and not boring so that's good! You never know what to expect.

To get back on topic: excited about this movie opening soon. Still bumbed I could be there for the opening weekend.  Happy for Chris though! Do we have any stills yet? or have I just slipped over them?

Re: The Rite

We have nothing so far.  The trailer's been out for a couple of weeks, but nothing else has leaked except a few BTS pics of Anthony Hopkins.

Re: The Rite

Creepy indeed. I don't think I'd wanna see this movie if it didn't have a connection to Chris. Especially after seeing that poster. It scared me more than it piqued my interest.

Re: The Rite

Yeah, I don't do well with these kinds of movies either.  One thing that also sucks, test audiences so far are not in love with the movie.  The biggest complaint is the wooden lead actor.  Idiots.  They could've done so much better!  He was right there!

Re: The Rite

Yes, Father Hannibal Lecter.  LOL!  The fact is, with the way the movie's testing, pretty much all they have to sell is the patented Hopkins creep factor.

Re: The Rite

Saw the trailer on the big screen, and I am pretty certain that Chris is in the trailer.  He is the one in white, who is hit by the van, and then there is a shot of him laying on the ground.  I could be wrong, but on the big screen it looked like him.

Hm... shall we take a closer look? I must say I'm not convinced, but I guess it's possible. It's so hard to tell, even with the HD screencaps.

That's a woman.  The scene is mentioned in one of the test screening reviews on IMDb.
